KYAW: "Would you like a little more tea, General Mubba?"
MUBBA: "Oh, yes please, your illustriousness"
TASLI (annoyed): "You guys still playing these sissy games?"
MUBBA (matter of factly): "No. We're deep in negotiations for the signing of an interplanetary peace treaty"
KYAW: "Yeah! There are a gargoogolgog lives at stake! The fate of the entire galaxy rests on our deliberations!"
MUBBA (to Tasli): "And you're interrupting. Guards, take this foul-mouthed knave away!"
KYAW: "Now where were we? Aye, yes, my dear Mubba, you simply must tell me of your quaint and queer little homeworld"
MUBBA: Oh, yes, I'd love to; two sugars, please!"

It's a brand (Jolly). I imagine it was part of a set. I got this one from a trip to the scrap. Comics tend to not get the better pencils because (on FA and DA) most of my comics end up in scraps after a short while.

Ya'know Mubba & Kyaw are really sweet together. Their energies as characters nicely align. I think Mubba makes a great "girlfriend" for Kyaw, as opposed to "boyfriend". What I mean is that there is more of a friendship energy between them (like a pair of giggly girls), more than a romantic one. I could easily see them gossiping about their favorite crushes with sighs and twinkles in their eyes.

I think its telling that Mubba is essentially acting as Mimi's "girlfriend" in the last panel, essentially giving love advice, just as Pinky tried to do in an earlier scene. In general Mubba seems to "get" girls more and seems to socialize with them more than boys. So in a way him paling up with Kyaw here is usual for him, except that Kyaw isnt exactly your typical boy either.

Either way I feel like they could confide that sort of thing with each other. I almost feel like Mubba would be too socially dense to think there was anything odd about Kyaw talking about boys in dreamy terms.
Anyway Im sure Mubba is happy to have another boy to play tea parties with. These two seem like two peas in a pod here.

Yes I like it very much. Its nice to see Kyaw get some validation with a friend. Despite all the teasing and mocking and cruelty Kyaw no doubt faces, he really is quite innocent in all this. He was raised as a girl quite against his will. He doesnt know how to be any other way, and to him it feels completely natural. This doesnt however make him think of himself as a "girl", which is something that others constantly try to force upon him. Here he can just be himself without having to constantly "justify" it. No doubt hes had tea parties with his cousin Naw many times before, but here he gets to engage in an activity he understands with another boy. That could only make him feel very happy and seen. Vicariously that makes me feel happy too. To see him get along with another character thats not my own.
