Seems Gene has stumbled upon Mubba, balancing on his tail.

GENE: "Mubba?"

MUBBA: "Yeah?"

GENE: "What you're doing is literally impossible"

[Mubba's tail gives from under him]

MUBBA: "Why'd you tell me?"

Adventures in colored pencils...

The featured pencil is a late 1920s to early 1930s '756' orange colored pencil from Eagle Pencil Co.

I don't recall where I got this pencil, but it was sharpened when I acquired it. I've had it a long time and have infrequently used it to color Gene's T-shirt.
I colored Gene's shirt with the Eagle 756 in this cartoon. Mubba's helmet and shorts were colored with a modern, orange pencil.

By mistake, I picked up an errant chalk pencil, and began coloring Mubba's shirt with it. Luckily, it didn't smear. ^^

The insides of Mubba's ears were colored via a Dixon 'Best' white pencil I found among my S/O's old things. I had to use it a little bit---this cartoon seemed as good as any (it's cute and clean). :3

This cartoon was drawn via a Bulgarian 'Oriental' pencil.

I found something strange at the scrap yesterday ...I dunno what to make of it: https://sta.sh/01x545bp1jru

The top pencil seems to be conflating the bottom two ...which shouldn't be possible given EF and Eagle are different makers.

Someone named Doug Martin seems to have one, so it's not unique, but certainly odd: http://www.china-writing.com.cn/wjsc-qbsc.htm

And Bobby Truby just gave me his opinion,

"Hey Marten.  That's a strange one indeed.  It's all part of the brand acquisition over the years.......maybe for a moment somebody comboed all those names up for a season I can only imagine.  In the end they all become one...LOL.  I don't know for sure if I've got one as I generally don't focus on that era.  Probably 80's or 90's here in the US.  I'll certainly look and try to get one myself.   Thanks for dropping me a pencil...odd as it may appear"

Such treasure! D:

Seems about as realistic as bipedally walking talking animals lol.

Darn it Gene, no one cares about your real-world logic... some people just want to have some fun sitting down on their propped-up tails. >:|

It reminded me of the Roadrunner, who didn't fell off a cliff because he told the Coyote (using a sign) that it didn't know the Laws of Physics XD .
