It is that time of the year again and every beastfolk in the savage lands celebrates the most festive of holidays, ExpMass. On this day it is said that all adventures bring more knowledge to those daring. However it is also a day celebrating family ties. Those not venturing outisde are with their families and good behaving pups eagerly await santa pawz to bring them gifts while the naughty ones cover under their blankies hoping that the evil twin, santa clawz doesn't take them away to his gobo run sweatshop. There are also those who can't be with their families, so instead they celebrate this day with their friends in their homes.
And there are also those who call the pawdventuring guild their home. Mightiest of pawdventurers come back for some festivities and seeing those that they call family. It is a rowdy place even on the calmest of days and tonight the veterans are there to raise the bar on festivities while the newbies watch and learn how it is done. Food and drinks are a plenty and it wont be long before the newbies hit the floor under the table from all the booze, though more often than not they hit the table itself wanting some fun with a veteran who swayed them.
There are also newbies who are helping out in the guild. Good boys they are called. They wear small helper hats and do it mostly for good boy points. Sometimes though a coin or two ends up their way. They give their best and even as clumsy as they tend to be are the unsung heroes of the guild, although they are not left unappreciated. A coin here, a pat there, a drink on someones tab, plenty of words of gratitude, an awesome story of their deeds and even a few flirting words... and as the festivities go on it is not uncommon for the good boy newbies themselves to end up swayed by a veteran pawdventurer and their sweet tongues gilded with stories of heroics and flirts alike.
By the time the morning rays peek into the guild most veterans will be sound asleep, in their rooms or most likely on the chairs and against the tables, hugging each other as they passed out before that last cheer for the night. The pups would be sleeping tucked in some corner of the guild, inside rooms of the veteran peers or more likely under a table or in a little furry pile set to the side by others and always covered by a strangers coat that kept them warm through the cold morning air. One thing is certain though, no matter where they woke up all of them would have a night to remember and a place they call home.
