It was something Ion didn't understand at first, memories of him holding his right arm which was in some pain while his swords trembled within it, he was left handed but his father had insisted that he also train in his sword fighting with his right one as well. This aggravated Ion as he thought his training was stalling with putting on so much focus on an arm he didn't use in battle but even so his father persisted with him training it. Ion remembered one day getting so mad that he angrily called out to his father on why he was wasting so much time not 'properly' training but his father kept a calm composure and Ion never forgot the words he told him, "what happens if you find yourself in a situation in battle where you don't have use of your left arm? What will you do then?" that was something Ion never thought of before. But Ion's father also went on to say that with his specific skillset, making use of both arms in battle would be beneficial, something though that he also said Ion would have to figure out on his own but he was making sure he would have the skillset for when he did. And how true that was, Ion now with a left mechanical arm, while it was extremely durable, there was a chance it could break in battle, making his right arm the only usable one in a fight and then there was his skillset, he discovered that the path of the Fangbearer was the one right for him, combining the dance of the sword with the finesse of the dagger, hand in hand at once allowed him to bloom as a powerful Hunter, something he would not have if not for his father's instance back then. Ion now looked on those memories more fondly, giving himself a little laugh at how much aggravation that training back then gave him and how it was all worth it in the end
