Ionia twirled a small flower taken from the estate garden in her hand as she watched her son run around in the little forest alcove she took him to so they could get out of the city for a while, he didn't have many friends if any at all so this made him happy for a while. It was something Ionia never thought she would ever have, growing up sailing the seas as a pirate never gave her much time for any love life, until a small mistake got her in the crosshairs of a man named Ivan and not too long after, she had a prized treasure more precious then any other, a son who was just as much adventurous as she was. He was sweet and gentile, caring about the need of others as he came back over to her bearing a piece of fruit he wanted to she with her, an orange which was his favorite, she placed a hand on his cheek and smiled back at the kind gesture which caused Ion to smile back in happiness. But Ionia also knew her son had that fire in him, that edge that made him a bit reckless but could be a deadly weapon when used properly. While Ion was suppose to be brought up in the way of a noble, a knight as he was the heir to the Overseer's throne for Norland, Ionia could see that never fit her son's skill set, he was more comfortable in the shadows, to strike when the time was right and be deadly precise, it was skills she helped him hone along side the swordsmanship he was expected to peruse, making him a fangbearer to be reckoned with
