Every time we try to be more capitalist than we were before, everything prospers and our biggest problem becomes "our poor people have so much food to eat and so little work they need to do to buy it that there's an obesity epidemic"

Every time we try more communism, the richest of the rich get richer and everyone else gets poorer and has to struggle to eat as well as working longer and harder than before.

We've never wholly embraced either end, but if we did, I would bet good money on which one would actually do us some good.

That NPC that asked, "What is a vegetable?"...
...It would be funny if someone answered him, "Go look in a mirror and you'll see one".

Something Marxist goons never seem to grok is that the ultimate means of production, the very thing that is necessary for any production to take place, is the human mind itself.

Collective control of the means of production is collective ownership of the human mind.  It is slavery to a false idol, a fictitious construct unassailable for its fictitiousness yet wielded as cudgel against any who gainsay The Cause.

Capitalism (a label invented for the express purpose of attacking the principles of liberty) might result in an individual being held at the mercy of a tyrant, an extant person whose greed or capriciousness might wane from time to time or who can be abandoned as reality allows.

Marxism and all its deformed progeny (Socialism, Communism, Fascism, Feminism, et. al.) requires that all people be enslaved to the lowest and worst of all humanity, without opportunity for escape or societal correction.  Evil, evil, evil.
