During the 1959-1960 school year, the school library had a rash of checked out books being overdue before they came back.
Among the preparations before the 1960-1961 school year begins in a few weeks, a reminder notice is displayed at the checkout desk to remind students not to be late when a library book is due to be returned.
The library is used by the elementary school, middle school and high school in the school complex.

When Jed, Rex and Donna go back to school, they are sure to get a chuckle from the character depicted in the notice.

Whether Clarence ever gets to see that notice depends on how soon the time machine can be repaired.
If Clarence is still around to start the 1960-1961 school year with his step siblings, he will surely get a chance to see it. If the time machine is up and running before the beginning of September, Clarence will be back in his rightful place 58 years into the future by the time the 1960-1961 school year starts.
