This is a very young Jonathan Jebediah Jackrabbit, before he ever met Jonah Adler Chipmunk. This is Jonathan in idyllic childhood bliss. He's playing with probably his favorite toy, a model airplane with a propeller that actually spins from the slightest of air currents. I imagine he's running with it to make the propeller spin somewhere in his childhood backyard. Just as Jonah has a water theme, most prominent in his sailor suit as his standard uniform, Jonathan has an air theme, something that will become more clear as more of the story is revealed.
Jonathan is probably about 3 years old here, and this is probably the summer of 1979, about 1 year before meeting Jonah. Jonathan's childhood up to this point has been nothing short of a little piece of heaven with two loving parents who give him all the care and affection he needs, a nice and secure living situation, and comforting beliefs of a creator god who loves and watches over them, his parents being religious. Jonathan is gentle, innocence, and full of life.
But he is still just a tiny little fragile rabbit boy in a big and dangerous world. The next year of his life will take an unexpected turn leading to a sequence of events forging a deep and lasting friendship that will be a great source of comfort for Jonathan but also a great source of confusion and tragedy. But for now Jonathan is naive of the tragedies and complexities of life ...
Jonathan Jackrabbit is the deuteragonist of the storyline "Better Than Best Friends", commonly abbreviated BTBF.
Thank you, Jonathan holds a special place in my heart, and I'm glad you liked the little bit of info that went with it. It's just the tip of the iceberg though. There is a long and elaborate story that goes along with this, and it's still under development.

Airplanes for Jonathan, Boats for Jonah, ... I wonder if one of my characters should be into trains? That would cover three of the four elements: Air, Water, and Earth.

I was going more along with the classic Greek elements: Air, Water, Earth, Fire, corresponding to Jonathan, Jonah, Natasha, and Salvador, respectively. There was a 5th element however, the aether, that corresponded to the absence of the other 4 elements, ie. empty space. So You could say the 5th element was space.
In more modern times I guess our analogue to the 4 greek elements would be matter, energy, space, and time.
