Sasha is Natasha's little brother. He's a little hillbilly boy with not much to say, but when he does say something its usually terse and biting. His generally dour demeanor is on account of being Natasha's defacto errand boy and punching bag at home. Something she normally does to all the wimpy boys at school, but when shes at home and got no one else to torment thats when she comes up with reasons to harass Sasha.
Sasha has responded by becoming largely withdrawn at home burying himself in the few video games his family can afford (The Novosibirsks are poor and live in a trailer on a hill at the outskirts overlooking the neighborhood).
Natasha has been known to bring "boyfriends" home. In truth these are boys that she simultaneosuly bullies and strings along who she makes do her homework or chores etc. Sasha of course knows better. He regards these boys with pity and disdain. As far as he's concerned any boy that likes his sister is a fool asking for it and prpbably deserving whatever they get.
Why dont the parents intervene in this abuse? Well the father is usually sleeping at the wheel having drunken himself into a stupor and the mother is usually at the local bar being a flirt, or when shes home she's busy listening to the television, or shes gambling with her friends outside. If the mother does get involved you can guess there is probably some whooping in order as she tells the kids to behave but Natasha isnt exactly a lightweight. Shes kinda a brute and strong for her age. When she was younger the mother would give what for to Natasha, but now its rather difficult to contain her. As such she tends to just stick to shouting contests with her delinquint daughter. Sasha has learned to lay low and stay out of trouble. This seems easy as is big sister is almost always the center of attention, being far more troublesome and rebelious. He has been caught a few times shop lifting but generally he has gotten pretty good at not getting caught. He mostly swipes small snacks. In his mind nothing he could do would be bad enough to outshine his sister in that department, and so he doesnt make too much of an effort. He mostly does what he wants, ignores most school only doing the assignments he likes, reading the books he likes, etc. Hes probably rather intelligent but furs assume hes as dumb as a rock because of his poor and disreputable family and how little he speaks. He shrugs his shoulder to the whole situation and just tries to enjoy whatever time he can find to himself before Natasha demands he bring her a soda or help her put her laundry on the rack outside or do her homework she doesnt understand or whatever.
One thing thats good about Natasha bringing a boy home is it keeps Natasha from making demands of Sasha. So he tries to not get involved.
Sometimes though, either out of loneliness, boredom, empathy, or some combination of the three, he befriends the boys Natasha brings home, often to play video games together. Of course any such revelries dont last long as Natasha gets jealous seeing the boys having fun without her, then its back to doing whatever she wants.
Sasha is 7 years old and in grade school. If he has any friends at school hes smart enough not to bring them to his house to witness all the disfunction that goes on on a daily basis. Perhaps he cant visit their places either because his folks want him "safe" at home everyday. So hes got to do all his hanging out alittle before during and alittle after school.
Despite is stoic veneer, Sasha is probably pretty nice and laid back once you get to know him.
