Yes, I know I'm supposed to be drawing Mubba for my ACO sale ...I'm just not feeling like dealing with that yet. Also, no, I've not forgotten Pikachu x Ketchup ...it's simply that I have 'Rick Moranis in Gravedale High' on my mind and wanted to draw from it.
...So I have. ^^
This is Frankentyke from Hanna-Barbera's animated 'Rick Moranis in Gravesdale High' (RMiGH) series.
Frankentyke has been compared with Bart Simpson ...and I can kinda see that. Apart from being a brat, Frankentyke (and his best friend Gill the Swamp Thing) uses a lot of 90's, West-Coast slang (kinda like Bill and Ted).
RMiGH is a monster-high-school or monster-mash series, with a human homeroom teacher (played by Rick Moranis, the inventor from 'Honey I shrunk the Kids').
It's not as bad as it seems, esp. for Hanna-Barbera. I like the cartoon, but given how much the real world has changed since 1990 when this series premiered, the series hasn't aged well ...and in general there was much room for improvement (I may review an episode of this once I begin doing reviews again---I already have one picked out). ^^
Anyway, I drew Frankentyke from a screencap. This was intended to be my practice sketch, but I liked it well enough to clean it up and publish it.
I sketched Frankentyke with my Wallace Zephyr pencil, and delineated him via this 'Vendor' pencil from Eberhard Faber. The Vendor ...is a great pencil! The drag is like butter (it almost got away from me as I was writing 'Substitutes' in my tagline), making the Vendor ideal for speed writing. The line is dark and erases ...fairly well (just don't press). :3
