Background: Idoriya Akastkui, was the firstborn son of Inko Midoriya. Inko gave birth to Idoriya at a young age. Instead of raising him as her son, Inko gave Idoriya up for adoption.

Idoriya was raised by a kind couple who loved him as their own, but they both perished in a fire when Idoriya was four. As the apartment building he was living in collapsed, Idoriya fell from the balcony. Idoriya closed his eyes as he cried, but opened them and saw he was flying. He then looked and saw shadow-like wings were flying him through the air. In that moment, Idoriyas Quirk developed.

Idoriya managed to land in an alleyway. He looked back to see the smoke from the fire and cried, for his adopted parents had died. Idoriya then crawled into a cardboard box and gripped his backpack tight.

Idoriya then felt the cardboard box shake as he awoke the next morning. He saw a man with light-blond hair and a beard had found him in the box. Idoriya tried to use his Quirk to make the man go away, but it wasn't fully developed. When the man asked Idoriya where his parents were, Idoriya told the man they died in a fire. As the man began to walk away, he told Idoriya to follow him. With no other option, Idoriya followed the man.

Idoriya followed the man to an abandoned warehouse. The man told Idoriya that he could stay with him, but under the condition that he had to learn how to use his Quirk. Idoriya accepted the terms. After showing him to his room, Idoriya unpacked his backpack, which only had a few snacks, a picture of himself as a baby and his adopted parents and a sealed letter with the words 'My Son' written on the envelope.

Seconds later, Idoriya joined man outside. The man told Idoriya to just call him Mentor and nothing more. When Mentor asked him about his Quirk, Idoriya explained that he was only able to conjure black wings without doing anything. After a couple hours of practice, Idoriya learned that he was able to control shadows. Idoriya learned that Mentors Quirk allowed him to control metal.

Everyday from sunrise to sunset, Idoriya would train, learning how to use his Quirk. After a few months, Idoriya was able to use shadows to take hold of anything or anyone and use them to make attacks. By the time he was five, Idoriya was able to make wings from the shadows and fly around. The more he practiced, the bigger the wings got.

As they trained, Mentor told Idoriya stories, mainly about people with Quirks. Idoriya learned that when Quirks first came into being, people with Quirks were considered either monsters or freaks by normal people. Mentor often referred to people with Quirks as 'Quirkers' and normal humans as 'Quirkless'. Overtime, Idoriya got use to the terms himself. Mentor also told him that Quirkers whose appearances transformed after getting a Quirk, isolated themselves, for they were laughed at or tormented. On some days, Idoriya would walk around the city and hear the Quirkless talk bad about Quirkers and see Quirkers get picked on.

Mentor also spoke about Heroes, mainly how the Quirkelss relied on only one hero, spefically 'All Might' and that most heroes just cared about the money and publicity. Mentor also spoke about how the restrictions put in place by the government, prevented Quirkers who weren't heroes to use their Quirks to help those in need. Mentor also told Idoriya about villains and how they wanted to reshape the world into their own image, but also how villains despised heroes and used other Quirkers for their own benefits.

By the time he was nine years old, Idoriya mastered the skills and became one with the shadows. Idoriya was able to mold his body into a shadow and move as such, but was only able to do so on the ground and walls. Idoriya trained day after day with Mentor, learning to use and control his Quirk and how to fight. Idoriya mainly worked on a technique that he named Shadow Storm. Idoriya would summon a massive storm of Shadows, allowing him to take out multiple targets at a once.

Whenever Idoriya went to his room to rest, he would always stare at the letter his adopted mother had left him, not bothering to open it. After the death of his adopted parents, Idoriya learned from the news that the police and fire department believed he had died in the fire with them. When he was ten he saw on the news that woman from the apartment building he use to live in, began talking about Idoriyas parents and was shocked when the woman said that he was adopted. Idoriya then went to his room and opened the letter. He read that the letter was from someone named Inko Midoriya, who was Idoriyas birth mother. Inko had wrote that Idoriyas father left her after learning she was pregnant with him. The only thing Inko knew about him was that his name was Akatskui. Idoriya read that Inko was sorry for giving him up, even though she wanted to raise him, but wasn't ready to be a mother.

Using his Quirk, Idoriya searched the city until he found his mother Inko in an apartment building. He used his Quirk to sneak into her apartment in the middle of the night. There, Idoriya found a picture of Inko, along with a man who was her husband and a little boy. Idoriya saw many more pictures and saw that the boys name was Izuku. He then peaked into Izukus room and saw him fast asleep. Instead of disturbing him, Idoriya left the apartment.

Idoriya secretly spied on his half-brother Izuku, watching him grow up. He could see how happy his mother was and didn't want to ruin that by popping back into the picture. When Idoriya was fourteen, Mentor left to try and find his purpose in the world. When he was fifteen, Idorya stopped two thugs who were attacking a young boy who looked like a black panther. The boy told Idoriya that his dad threw him out of his house because he looked like a monster. Idoriya felt sorry for the boy, then extended his hand out to him. He then took the child back to the warehouse where he lived.

After saving the panther boy, Idoriya realized his purpose in life. He used his Quirk to travel all over Japan to find Quirkers who were being mistreated and offering them shelter. As the warehouse became overfilled with more Quirkers, Idoriya realized they needed more space. He began designing plans to build a place for Quirkers who felt they didn't belong in the world of heroes.

After finding a small uninhabited island in the far west, Idoriya was able to get the Quirkers there, with the help of his friend Jushina. Jushina had a Quirk that allowed her to make portals to anywhere on Earth. They decided to name their new home Genosha, then Idoriya decided to take his fathers name. From then on, he was Idoriya Akatskui.

Idoriya continued to search the world for Quirkers who were being mistreated and bringing them to Genosha, while also helping construct a stronghold on the island. He also taught the young children about Quirks and how to use them. All the Quirkers on Genosha started using their Quirks all the time. They mainly used them for training and one-on-one battles against each other. Several Quirkers used their Quirks to help with Genoshas construction and used them to grow food and crops. Idoriya decided to make a council of those he trusted to help keep order in Genosha and he was made its leader.

When he was seventeen, Idorya and the Quirkers of Genosha were visited by the United States President. Genosha was left alone, for no one knew it existed, but word soon reached the Americas about Genosha. The President was concerned about Genosha, mainly because the Quirkers were using their Quirks all the time. Idoriya and council explained that Genosha was independent and that they had all the necessary requirments to make sure the island and its inhabitants were safe. After a long conversation and seeing how Genosha operated, the president allowed Genosha to rule as a continent, but under the condition that Genosha did trade with the Americas and that the Quikers only use their Quirks within the confines of Genosha.

Idoriya could see how the Quirkers were thriving and happy. The Quirkers accepted each other and could use their Quirks as much as they wanted. A few years later, when he was twenty, Idoriya began to think about his past. Had watched on tv that his brother Izuku competed in U.A. High schools Sports Festival, had a run in with the Hero Killer: Stain and that he had gotten his Hero Provisions License. Idoriya had decided it was time to meet with his Mother Inko. One night, he flew back to Japan through Jushinas portal and went to her apartment.
