Woodrow Raccoon is one of the senior scientists in my story, Clarence Coyote and Project Courier.
He is the raccoon scientist who, in Part 2, told Clarence to have a look at what he had done to some of the time machine's burned electrical panels (circuit boards)...Clarence's lack of knowledge of how to operate the machine was what damaged the panels.

Woodrow Raccoon wore round frame glasses. As is in style with that time era, his neck tie is narrow, belt is thin, and the pants are a greyish olive.
Back then, Horizon Innovations had the Horizon name embroidered on the shoulders of their lab smocks.
At the time, Woodrow drove a 1958 Ford Edsel.

In the swingin' seventies...It is 1970, and Woodrow got different glasses that are in style for the 1970s look. Also note the neck tie is wider, and the clothing colours are flashy.
The Horizon name was no longer embroidered on the shoulders of lab smocks by 1970.
At the time, Woodrow drove a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang...He would in the following year be trading the Mustang in for a 1971 Ford Torino Cobra Jet equipped with a 429...After all, you only live once.

This would be Woodrow Raccoon if he never wore glasses.

So glasses yes.

The Prince-nez would be what he wore most of his life...In the story, which is in 1960, Woodrow is up in age, so he's had them since the 1920s
Around the year 1970, Woodrow began keeping up with the present trends and styles.

The only advantage he would have with having them into the 60's is better lenses and materials,, They were not much beyond BCG's at that point.. But the styles were changing,, Plastics, and even some metal frames were getting revamped,, My personal favorites cabled temples and springs for the nose.. better fit and they are more comfortable.. sad thing is no one really makes them anymore so I am careful how I handle them,, If they go to shit I am out of luck,,

Glasses were still glass in 1970. I had several pairs of sun glasses back then and they were glass.

Aviator style glasses became really popular back in the '70s also.
I remember one of the Beatles, John Lenon, always wore round frame glasses.

I like the glasses he wears in the 1970s. They look a lot like the glasses my late dad wore in the '60s and '70s.

And my dad was a lot like Woodrow in another way as well: he too had a Ford he'd trade in for another one. Except he had a 1962 Fairlane, and he'd trade it in for a 1971 Pinto.

I remember those Pintos very well. That was about the same time GM came out with the Chevy Vega.

I heard a lot of people say bad things about the Chevy Vega, especially the engine. The blocks were made out of aluminum instead of iron, and they would sometimes crack under pressure, especially when the car went fast. I sometimes watch episodes of Let's Make a Deal on YouTube, and I read some of those negative comments about the Vega. A couple of people said that car was more pf a "zonk" than the regular zonks. That's probably the main reason my parents preferred Ford cars over GM cars.

One of my cousins had a Vega when they were first introduced. I don't really know what kind of service he got out of it.

One kind of car that was bad were the first Ford Escorts and Mercury Linxs that were manufactured in the early 1980s.
They'd always cracked the engine head between the #2 and #3 cylinders.
I once bought a used Linx that the person selling it thought it had a blown head gasket. I would have been able to replace the gasket myself, but it turned out the head was cracked between cylinders #2 and #3.
Someone I know who runs a tire shop told me he once had an early model Escort. During the time he had that Escort, the engine head cracked between the 2nd and 3rd cylinders. He told me about how he went to a junkyard where there were half a dozen junked Escorts to get a replacement engine head. While he was there, he found out the engine heads on every single one of the junked Escorts were cracked between the 2nd and 3rd cylinders.

I had heard that Ford fixed that design problem by the late 1980s.
