~ A knock came at the door as Ion opened it up to see his cousin Meeka standing there, already dressed and ready to go out on a run, "not ready yet?" she asked as she looked at a shirtless Ion, his scars in fully view from an serious injury he suffered about a year ago, combined with a more fresh one down the centre of his chest from recent open heart surgery he had to undergo as part of the surgery to graft a mechanical arm to the left side of his body. She had performed that surgery three weeks ago and Ion had only been out of the Hospital for about a week now, though he was very impatient with any recovery, wanting to get his strength back as soon as possible and to make sure he didn't hurt himself in doing that, Meeka wanted Ion to only do some light work outs when she was around to supervise him, otherwise, she had threatened him with being forcibly hospitalized again and she would make sure he would be chained to his bed, mechanical arm temporarily removed and all. "Just give me a minute" Ion replied as he turned around to put on a lightweight shirt, normally Ion would just forego the clothing but right now he was a little sensitive with the scars on his body. "Ready!" Ion said gleefully as he joined his cousin outside, looking over him, Meeka did think Ion looked a little different, notwithstanding the new left mechanical arm but he was thinner and his muscles didn't look as tense, he did seam to look a lot weaker then the last time she saw him before the serious injury a year ago and she knew it was not all due to his recovery. Ion had just gotten over a small bout of depression, something she knew she had a hand in when she at first refused to allow him to have a mechanical arm grafted to his body, she was worried about the health of his heart as Ion did go into cardiac arrest during his life saving surgery from the injury but in the end she found that his mental condition would be worse for him then the potential problems the mechanical arm would cause, she would just have to keep a closer medical eye on him. But Ion's deposition did vastly improve when she gave him the good news, her giving in a bit to Ion's wanting of a quicker rehab was part of her saying sorry for the pain she had felt she caused but she still did want Ion to take it easy and she would make sure he still did that. Crossing the bridge over the river in front of Ion and Zephyr's home, they set out on their run through the surrounding forest, Meeka set the pace slower then Ion would have liked but even at that slower speed, Meeka could see Ion was having some difficulties keeping up, which was not surprising to her giving Ion's condition but it was still something that was weird to see. After about ten minutes, they finally made it to the nearby road, a run that usually took less then half the time but with Ion struggling, Meeka had to keep the slower pace.
"Don't push yourself too hard" Meeka said to Ion, who was clearly not in the best condition to do a run like this, he was sweating profusely and panting hard, for Meeka the last ten minutes were just a breeze, but for Ion it was pure agony but he kept on trying to push through. "Don't... worry... about... me..." Ion struggled to say through his heavy panting, "I... can... keep going... I... am... fine..." "No you are clearly not!" Meeka responded as she stopped and sat down on the side of the road by a large tree, "we are going to take a breather, come sit beside me I want to check your pulse." Ion grunted but in his mind he was relieved to take a rest, he was not use to his body being so weak that it frustrated him greatly, he sat down beside Meeka like he was told as she put a couple of fingers on his neck to check his heart beat. "Boy your heart is pumping way too fast, were are not going anywhere until it calms down" Meeka exclaimed, "Are.. you... sure...?" Ion started saying with heavy breaths between each word, "I... can... keep... going, I... feel... fine..." "Ion don't pay dumb with me" Meeka responded in a caring tone, "I can tell you are not feeling well, I should have not let you do this just yet, it is still too early in your recovery, I know you are antsy to get back to full strength but these things take time." "But... I... am ready... for... this..." Ion responded, again struggling to get words out with heavy breathing, "again no you are not" Meeka replied, "and your body knows that, the way you are feeling now, it is telling you that it is too early." Some slience fell after Meeka's last words as Ion deep down knew she was right but he still could not shake that feeling of wanting to get back at what he loved to do, he wanted to get back out there and adventure, to Hunt again as was his calling. "You know, I hoped you would have decided to retire from Hunting after this injury" Meeka said as she broke the silence, "you are only nineteen, there is still plenty of other professions you can peruse, ones that would be a lot less stressful on your body now that you have some permanent issues to think about." "And what profession would that be?" Ion answered kind of annoyed by Meeka's deposition, "I was born to be a Hunter, it is my calling, it is my dream." "Well..." Meeka started answering, "you could help me out, you could train and be my assistant in the operating room, you have fairly good knowledge of the body with being a Hunter, when we were kids, you also interested in helping me with my dream of becoming a surgeon, so I think there is a medical interest in you and working with me, you would still technically be a Hunter, a Medic Hunter!" Meeka continued putting emphasis on the last part. Ion let out a small laugh as his breathing started normalizing, "while that would be true, I would not be the Hunter I want to be, I promised a friend that I would adventure the world in his place, I yearn for that adventure and besides I am more of a killer then a healer"
The last part of Ion's sentence did ring true to Meeka's ears, Ion did have a knack for fighting, a talent that was more suited for what it actually means to be a true Hunter, "I am sure you could adjust" Meeka responded, "and it is not like you can't still travel around as a Medic Hunter..." "But that still doesn't give me the freedom I want" Ion replied, "when you operated on me just after the incident, you said I should have died right? Well thats why I want to make the most of my life now, I am living on borrowed time after all, I was dead, maybe not for long as you did bring me back but that doesn't change the fact that I am still on borrowed time." "But you could have even less time if you go back to being a regular Hunter..." Meeka started saying but was interrupted, "but that is where you come in, you did say you joined the Hunter's Hospital so you could help me in times of need, you had your choice of other hospitals but you chose the Hunter's one for my sake" Ion passionately said, "if I do fall, I know I am in good hands, I was born to be an adventurer, a Hunter, just like you were born to be a surgeon, you do give me the strength out there in the field, I try my best not to get injured but if I do I at least know you are there for me." "But I would still rather not see you injured and not on my operating table if I could help it" Meeka said but Ion didn't back down, "please Meeka, I am asking you to support my decision, my dream, you knew this is what I wanted to be for a long time, I look to you as my big sis so I hoped you would understand." "And I look to you as my little brother as much as my actual brother, that is why I don't want to see you hurt" Meeka replied, "but we are family and need to support each other, you did support me in wanting to become a surgeon and I should do the same thing with you wanting to be a Hunter." Ion smiled at Meeka's response as she embraced him while giving him a little noogie, "just as long as you don't mind my hands poking around in your insides" Meeka said in a sly voice, "gheeze you really are a surgery freak" Ion retorted, "and you are a little devil that never listens to what I say" she responded giving Ion a little punch in the arm, "well now I think it is best we head back to the house, you are in no shape to continue this run and it is best you just continue to rest." Ion tried to protest but Meeka was having none of it, "like I said a little devil who doesn't listen to me, you said you put your trust in me, now put your trust in me!" Meeks said in a commanding tone as Ion just gave in, "and we are walking home nice and slowly, no running at all. or else... or else you don't want to find out!" Ion and Meeka walked arm in arm back to Ion's home, they took their time and enjoyed the scenery along the way, Ion finally listening to a word Meeka said, she was basically his big sister after all, he knew she had his best interests in mind ~
Oh ! By "slice of life" i was meaning kinda more like "normal life stuff", when they are not into their hunter role ^^ Also the but if i want to find out refer to the last thing Meeka say. I do want to find out what she will do if he start running >;3

even that, Ion has very good stamina in that department, while he might be an early climaxer, the tradeoff is he can reset and go again and again for a fairly long time that the person (or persons) doing it to him will probably tire before he does

Even in that state ????....Ok....Meeka, do your thing ! XD I'm out of idea to stop him in a silly way while leaving him able to keep those muscles growing back.

that depends, the punishment could be disguised as a challenge to overcome but one that Meeka could make sure he could handle in his current state, he would still feel like he had pushed back against her but she would have gotten him to do what she wanted, it Meeka can think a couple steps ahead, she would be able to pull the strings and get Ion to do what she wants him to do while he thinks he is going against it

Which have made her even more smart ! And terrifying too...if she want to O_o That remind me of a citation i had found being quite epic, i think it was in one of the new sherlock holmes series. If i remember well that is the doctor Watson being asked "what is the difference between a normal doctor and a battle one" and he answered "i'm able to brake your bones while naming them" XD

Well now that I think about it, that sort of punishment would go against what Meeka would want anyways (as she is worried about Ion's heart) but yes Ion would be able to take it, he might breathe heavier but at most he is lying there and taking it (no matter which hole the person would want to fuck) so there is not much he has to focus on except the pleasurable feelings (also remember the amount of bunnies Ion could handle while he was in the hospital https://inkbunny.net/s/2332692 so it is safe to assume he could handle it at this point as well)
