these were design sketches for Aunt Sophie before I even began work on BTBF 6. I didn't upload them immediately because I didn't want any spoilers. The one on the right is the final design (when I like a design I often put a check mark above it. This one typically becomes the canonical appearance all later appearances are judged against). I was really happy with how "1986" Sophie came out. She's probably the most attractive and my most favorite female character in BTBF so far. This includes female characters that haven't been shown and will appear much later in the series. She probably isn't the most interesting personality wise (that honor goes to a character we won't get to meet for some time) but she's got her quirks. She's highly religious yet into pop culture without constantly "seeing the devil" in it. In that sense shes a lot more liberal than her religious peers, like Grace, Martin and Jacobi. Clearly she likes fashion. She's childlike even though she's probably in her twenties and lives with her boyfriend. Her relationship to Jonah is more like an older sister rather than an aunt due to their relative proximity in age. She's quirky and probably has a bit of a southern drawl. She ends up being sorta important for chapters 1&2 later. She features a unique single dark line on her forehead unlike the double line most chipmunks have in BTBF (Jonah is the other unique chipmunk with no dark lines at all).
