My first attempt to draw Jonathan's father, Jacobi Rigel Jackrabbit. If its not obvious, Jacobi is a pastor by trade (of a catholic persuasion).
This scene is an important formative moment in the life of Jonah for reasons that won't be clear for a few chapters. We are seeing things from his point of view. Jonathan is slightly annoyed and mistrustful of Jonah at the moment. He has scampered off (as rabbits do) to the safety of his father Jacobi. Jacobi for his part is trying to figure out what just happened and how best to respond. You'll have to wait til I get to about chapter 3 to understand.
You might notice his father has long dark ears while Jonathan has his signature ear bands. Why is this? Again there is a reason. Without giving too much away, it has to do with the way genetics works in the BTBF universe.
I really like Jonathan here. He looks really cool (and cute) and Im happy with the pouty expression (if I've done my job then you can decipher some of the story from his eyes). As for Jacobi, I guess this will work, not quite what I had in mind but this could work too. Still don't know too much about the secondary characters personalities (mainly the kids parents).
