In this drawing is what would be Clarence's first Halloween in 1960 depending on if the time machine is repaired before then. As the story is going so far, it is mid August and there is only one vital component left to replace that was destroyed during Clarence's trip to 1960. That component didn't yet exist in 1960, which scientists will have to back engineer the part the best they can and fabricate a duplicate part. With the help of Poindexter Fox's uncle, Professor Nicolas Fox, making a trip over from Area 51, the scientists are optimistic that with the professor's assistance a replacement part can be made. Whether Clarence will still be around in 1960 by Halloween is a possibility. Though much progress has been made on the repair of the machine so far.
Question to everyone... Should the time machine be ready to take Clarence back to 2018 in late August? Or should that be not until after Halloween?
In the event the time machine which propelled Clarence Coyote from 2018 to 1960 hasn't been fixed by Halloween, at least the young future cub can enjoy his first trick-or-treat in that past decade with his friends and his sweetheart Cheryl. As those two prepare for the spooky event, each is wondering what the other's costume would be. As Clarence slips into the "Buck Rogers"-type jumpsuit designed by Horizon Innovations - the makers of the time machine - he believes Cheryl will be dressed up like either Col. Wilma Deering or Princess Ardala, the two women vying for his attention. (Chances are he still remembers seeing the 1978 Buck Rogers TV show.) Meanwhile, Cheryl is admiring herself in the princess gown her mother Wanda made for her and awaiting her handsome Prince Clarence's arrival at her doorstep. So imagine their surprise - and maybe embarrassment - when they finally see each other's costumes. The moment seems initially kind of awkward, but they decide to make the best of it anyway...especially after seeing the other cubs in their diversity of outfits: scarecrow, football player, ballerina, etc. Some of the other cubs actually wonder what the costumes will look like in Clarence's time, but he tells them it's best they don't know.
