Petroshka loiters "criminally"
Rudolph (Petroshka continuity)

To the left we have a new fighter pilot character a male cat named either Thomas or Calvin (still working on the name). Feliz the Fennec is shown here for size comparison standing at about 3/4 of Calvin's height. Since rabbits and cats are around the same size Calvin is probably close to Petroshka's height or slightly taller.

Calvin, like most of the pilots, is calm under pressure and very experienced in the cockpit of most aircrafts available on the deck of the USS Furtannia. Calvin is cool and aloof to the rest of the team, especially non-pilots. He might be slightly less liked than Feliz by the shock troops for being more cocky.

Real world Aircraft carriers are said to have somewhere between 120-240 pilots aboard. I'm thinking something along the lines of maybe 12 squads with 12 members each are aboard the USS Furtannia. Both Calvin/Thomas and Feliz are part of Squad 9, but I won't be actually making that many pilots or I'd be here 'til I'm 80. For now two pilot characters will suffice. The pilots will be more of the sidelines as we are going to be taking the POV of the engineering and maintenance crew (Petroshka's position) and their somewhat rocky interaction with the landing crew, air crew, and command structure of the ship.

As for Squad 9 I'll just say it has a reputation as one of the top squads on the ship, and Calvin is probably a very good pilot himself trying to compete with Feliz who is older and has more experience.

Would have called him Kelvin, that's a hot name ! >;3
I'm sure Petroshka is only taller because rabbit ears XP

They both look cool ! ^^
But I'm somehow quite curious, what is the size of a human in this world ?

Not a bad suggestion, and that's an excellent question ... which I haven't put much thought into. According to the logic I've established for this world though, where heights loosely correspond to heights/lengths in real life, it stands to reason that humans would be taller than cats/rabbits but shorter than maybe something like bears, and fall around the height of wolves. That would suggest they would be around twice the height of the "Kelvins"/Petroshka's of the world. But that's just based on the Petroshka continuity of the USS Furtannia arc. Since all this ultimately relates back to a discord roleplay I didn't create the best way to actually know what size humans should be in this world would be to ask the other people in the roleplay. So, yeah, I'll get back to you on that.

That being said, there are two reasons why this is likely to never come up in canon (1) I don't care for drawing humans, so even though they technically exist you'll probably never see them and (2) Ink Bunny doesn't like anything sexual with humans, regardless of any other factors. While I could just have them solely in non-sexual situations I find it simpler just to have strictly furry characters in my art to avoid any possible ambiguities (is this situation sexual or not? Does it cross the line or not?).

There is one area where this comes up quite prominently. There is a certain character in the roleplay continuity that is suppose to be a human girl. Petroshka meets her at the farm and was intended to have a love/hate relationship with her. They are both physically attracted to each other (despite being different species) but there is a serious conflict of personalities. Petroshka is always irratable sarcastic and kinda mean, whereas she tends to be sweet ditzy well meaning but often unintentionally insulting ... you can imagine all the problems this would cause. If they ever did succumb to their ... ahem ... animal instincts ... I would never be able to actually show it ... at least on Ink Bunny.

For that reason I have seriously considered changing her to a species other than human even though ... the idea of furry-on-human sex is rather intriguing to me in this instance. Maybe part of the reason for that (as I have stated elsewhere) is that I find human females more attractive than furry females usually, and furry males more attractive than human males usually. So it's sorta a perfect mix of everything I love.

Another possibility is just to have them never get sexual, because I do like the idea of their constant squabbling, it definitely is excellent material for comedy (In one amusing exchange Petroshka flicks a cigarette to where she is showering (just to mess with her). When she finds out she starts yelling at him but blames him for her missing clothes, which he had nothing to do with (krampus stole them!) ... Petroshka gets annoyed with the accusation and just walks off like it's not his problem ... which pisses her off even more). This could work, but ... I was building up to them getting together as an important turning point in Petroshka's story arc (I won't elaborate here, but use your imagination since you know a good amount about the character at this point).

Anyway, that's kinda where I'm at on the human issue. I'd rather just keep 'em out so I don't have to deal with what I can and can not do. I chose IB specifically because it was the most free of the sites so I could draw almost anything I want, but even here has it's limits, and I kind of understand.

Yeah, keeping human character out is quite understandable in those condition but i was quite curious. I was asking because when i like someone world/s i tend to imagine myself in it sometimes ^^

Oh too bad, that relation between Petroshka and the girl could be indeed leading to funny interaction. The other thing you could do is to make her the "always out of screen" character that you always hear or hear about but never actually see XD

I'm not really into girls but i have to admit, furry boys are quite something sometimes ;3

I'm technically attracted to both, at least to some capacity but likely in different ways. Teasing out specifically the ways in which they differ however has been a source of endless confusion. Truth is my sexuality appears to be malleable and has everything to do with how I'm thinking/feeling about things rather than the things themselves. When I was younger I was much more interested in the opposite sex, but as I've gotten older some of the magic has worn off. These days I find myself more frequently interested in my own sex and all the trappings and associations therein. I still like straight sex at least a little, I just don't find "girls" as a concept as interesting as I used to. I'm not as emotionally invested in the opposite sex. But my sexuality is quite unpredictable and has been different things at different times.

Regardless of my day-to-day orientation however, as far as my account goes I am mainly going to focus on male-male relationships because they are simply more interesting narrative wise. There is already plenty of exploration of heterosexual relationships in mainstream media and to me it just doesn't really have anything interesting to say. Same-sex relationships are more ambiguous/mysterious and interesting to me. So much of maleness is concealing ones feelings and never ever really feeling fully free. I like to explore characters who break free of those limitations. To embrace their feelings rather than reject/supress them. There is just so much more room for conflict and interesting explorations.

Well, I'm interested in partnership with boys but i'm not into sexual stuff so i can't really talk about sexuality XP
I don't like even the idea of being touched there by anyone <_<

So would you say you're asexual? And you are not interested in girls but you like the idea of relationships between boys, so, homoromantic? Maybe you're a homoromantic asexual? Does that sound accurate?

Yep, i think that is accurate XD
I like the wording "homoromantic asexual" ^^

Cool. Chippy and me have started listing romantic orientation first as a modifier of sexual orientation. I think it sounds better than the other way around. There apparently is no standard practice in this regard and Ive seen it frequently brought up in the reverse (romantic orientations are so rarely used and are most relevant to asexuals, since most sexual peoples romantic orientations mirror their sexual orientations. Hence there isnt much standardization).

As for me, at this point I think the most accurate label for me might be homoromantic bisexual. I still have romantic feelings towards my female partner whose separating from me but I attribute that to already being in a long term relationship with her and forming an attachment rather than her simply being female. I told her I could be the gayest man on earth and still love her.
