This is Aiden Acorn, the Medical Squirrel. He is responsible for all the medical duties aboard the USS Furtannia. Proud of his line of work and what it took to get where he is, he tends to take his job and life in general rather seriously. He graduated top of his class despite being a squirrel in a class of mostly humans. He considers himself very lucky to have been accepted to the Furtannia, the first attempt to create a furry exclusive aircraft carrier with even the commanding officers being furries.
Aiden can be a bit arrogant, and he does not put up with nonsense in his office. For a squirrel he is surprisingly assertive and has a deep and commanding voice for a squirrel. Handsome, skilled and positive, he does well with the ladies, at least those around his size. He takes the military seriously and does not care for lazy, rebellious or unscrupulous cadets. Even though he has no authority on the ship and his only job is to administer medical assistance, he will not hesitate to call out a cadet who is attempting to use a medical excuse to get out of military duties. He does his job well but he also expects those who enter his office to not whine and moan over wounds and bruises and get back to work as soon as possible.
Two things he hates however are being underestimated due to his size, and being treated as less manly for being into medicine instead of more combat heavy positions. Generally the "muscle" of a military fur team tends to be the bigger animals, like wolves, tigers, rhinos, etc. Aiden does not appreciate being looked down on as he takes his job just as seriously as any soldier. He is not above making weak or cowardly cadets suffer in his office, so don't try and show any signs of weakness. Despite his small size his confidence in his work and his refusal to be pitied earns him respect amongst the crew of the USS Furtannia. Although he is just as eager as Meeks when it comes to his duties he does not invite the same heckling as he has already endured years of study and hard work to earn his position. He no longer has anything to prove to anyone, at least as far as he is concerned.
