After school, Ion and Zephyr would always walk with Flint to the city gate as he lived in the woodlands just outside of Eios with his tribal clan. Flint only started going to school in the city after meeting Ion and Zephyr, wanting to get a taste of city culture. Reluctant at first his parents decided to let Flint follow his own path and let him go, though making sure he would still follow the ways of their clan outside of school, as this was the only time you ever saw Flint wearing city clothing and not his usual tribal outfit. The three boy would always walk down the main streets of Eios on their way to the gate, as Flint really enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of the bustling metropolis. One day on their way, they noticed some very pleasant smells coming from a new bakery shop that just opened. The three of them being curious, went to the window and were in awe of all the delicious looking treats in front of them on the other side of the glass.
The baker inside motioned for the boy to come in and as they did, those sweet smells started over filling their nostrils. The baker offered them some small samples but a bunch of other tasty treats caught the eyes of Zephyr and Flint. Ion, coming from a more well off family, has had the chance of eating a lot of these types of treats before, where as Zephyr coming from a poorer family and especially Flint with his tribal clan, never really had. Ion knew they deserved to, they were real friends to him, not like some other people in the past that only wanted to use him because of his status. Ion told the baker to box up anything they wanted to try and when the baker asked how Ion would pay for it all, Ion presented him with a special looking bank card. It was a bank card belonging to the family of the overseer of the country of Norland, their personal account not one based on tax. Ion knew this was only for emergencies and could get in trouble from his father for doing this, but to make his friends happy it was worth it to him. Not realizing Ion was the son of the overseer, the baker questioned him a bit about were he got the card but eventually came to the realization that Ion was indeed part of that family.
The baker packed up a bunch of goodies and the boys went on their way, each carrying a few boxes filled with treats. Walking outside the city gates, they decided to sit down in a field and enjoy their fill. Zephyr and Flint told Ion that he didn't have to do this for them, noting that he would probably get in trouble for doing so but Ion told them not to worry about it, that they both were his friends and just wanted to do something nice for them, saying any punishment he would receive he could handle. After finishing all the treats, Ion and Zephyr waved their good byes to Flint who continued on towards his home as Ion and Zephyr returned to the city. Ion walked Zephyr home before heading home himself, preparing for any punishment that came. Ion's father was a bit upset that he wasted a lot of money on sweats, especially money that wasn't his but knew Ion's heart was in the right place. Ion's father did decide not to punish him as the painful stomach ache Ion had that evening from eating all those sweets was punishment enough, as he couldn't help himself from playfully jesting with Ion about his minor misery
