This is the layout of The Hop on Route 66, just a few miles west of Santa Rosa, that is in the story, Clarence Coyote and Project Courier (Fictitious irl). In the story, the front of the building faces south as it is on the north side of the highway.
One might wonder the register is. The Hop had been using 'pay at table' years before other restaurants caught onto the idea. Earnings are kept in a drop safe in the kitchen with enough cash kept in a drawer next to the safe to make change...A tip ledger is also kept in the drawer. Only three animals have the combination to that safe; The owner, Roger Irish Setter, waiter Calvin Kinkajou and waitress Patty Coatimundi. For customers who elect curbside service, the car hops, Beth Fox and Jane Fox collect at the customer's cars and pass the transactions in through the curbside server window.
There's no actual office. If Roger has to do paperwork, he picks a booth to sit at and do it.
