The setting of this pic is Roswell, New Mexico in the early part of 1970.

The car, owned by the fox, is a 1969 Chevrolet Impala equipped with a 327 cubic inch V-8 and a Turbo hydramatic 350 transmission.
The street the car is on is one of those little one lane streets that run past house trailers and through trailer parks. The '69 Chevy is a one year old car at the time of the picture.

I had two songs by Arthur Lee & Love, and The Rolling Stones, from the late 1960s I played as inspiration while drawing the car and it's fox driver.

These are very nice looking cars. I had a maroon ‘69 BelAir 2 door. If it had any options they were power steering and maybe one other thing. It rode smoothly and I always enjoyed driving it.

I had a '77 Malibu, and a '75 Malibu...Most everything else I've had were pick-ups and vans.
They certainly don't make them like that anymore.

By the way, thank you for the fave.

I wish more two-door cars had that ability to roll down the back window like that, it's so much more of an open experience. The days I am simply too young to have experienced, how fleeting and absent :C

I appreciate the faves and comment. Thanks.

My dad had a DeSoto that was a 4 door car, and there was no post between the front and back windows. With all the windows rolled down, it was like the Chevy I have in the drawing. The posts that the back doors were hinged to had a firm base and only came half way up, leaving the window space as an open space..
