My second attempt at drawing Cornelius, the first attempt was back in 2010. I'm more satisfied with this version than the original but I'm still working on him. He'll appear in the Demordicai Diamonds comic toward the end of the first story-arc.
Cornelius Autumntail is a resident of Aspen Village and the town's most well-known and talkative dandy. His interest for fine clothes (though I drew his outfit in this more basic) is well complimented with his marriage to the village's tailoress, May Autumntail. He's the type who will walk up to people he doesn't know and talk their ears off.
Cornelius is at the ripe old age of sixty four and gets around really well despite it though his days as a skirt chaser have long been over, especially after getting married.
Cornelius comes from a wealthy family and inherited his fortune. He expanded his holdings by investing much of his inheritance in the silver mines of Relma and various merchants. He is one of the wealthiest folk of Aspen Village and often likes to look it.
Through his wealth and his assistance in the days after the bandit raid on Aspen Village years ago, he became one of the five village councilors that currently oversee the affairs of Aspen Village, all of which hail from the nearby town of Mossrock and were appointed by Lord Sidian Valcor, one of the three dominant rulers of the isle of Relma.
Few know much about Cornelius's past before he and his wife came to the village after the raid. He tends to be very cryptic and vague when the topic of his history comes up in conversation and prefers not to talk about it if able. There is a level of distrust with him amongst certain villagers, the most prominent instance being between him the town guard captain.
