Character Sheet for Harold Starlight
Nickname(s)
Herald, Mr. Optics, Harry Hachet, Metat Topory
Species
Takir which is a race from the Albion series. The nearest comparison is the North American mountain goat but there are some notable differences (read below)
Character Description
Though having the physical appearance of a goat the takir are in fact evolved from Sammu's planet's equivalent of the tree kangaroo as opposed to our planet's primates. However Sammu himself is an impersonator of that species.
Sammu is in fact some sort of planarian (flat worm like) in a rough stickman shape with armored skull and digits. This means his actual body is much narrower than his build and it's due to thick hair that he resembles a shape with more bulk.
Harold uses this to his advantage by carrying concealed weapons in his fur including small silenced pistols, knives, throwing darts, meat cleavers, razor blades, spools of piano wire, cigarette lighters and generally lots of fairly useful things that Harry likes to throw at the enemy like a total maniac.
Harold shares Sammu's healing factor. Being a planarian Harold can in fact heal any part of his body as long as the rest of him is still alive.
Harry's planarian side like Sammu also gives him the option to breathe orally or through his skin making him difficult to suffocate, especially since with either method he can breathe underwater.
Being a true planarian he also has no heart and relies on movement to circulate his blood though he can stay still for hours without harm by putting himself into a state of stasis similar to hibernation.
Harold has direction hearing which gives him the ability to hear the tiniest noises from far away but it has to be focused on a target so he can't hear around him. Counter to that he has 360 vision but it can be a hindrance in bright light.
To counter that problem Harold uses special goggles with prisms inside that can focus his vision forwards allowing him to see very far away and blocking out light around him. Similarly he has earpieces that enable him to hear all around him though in much less detail than his directional hearing making his hearing somewhat human-like.
He can easily switch between the two states but putting on or taking off his goggles and switching on and off his earpieces.
Personality
Harold has a passion for melee weaponry (in particular blades).
He loves old fashioned things because he says they have personality and character. He's not fond of modern technology and finds it irritating.
He doesn't like phones, automatic transactions, delivery services, social networks or generally any modern convenience and prefers to talk face to face and man to man.
He loves sports, in particular combat sports, and he's very good most things physical but must try to keep a low profile to avoid being tracked down by the Russian authorities so cannot compete professionally, which is somewhat heart breaking.
Harold doesn't like bullying and to do it in his presence or to someone he knows is to make an enemy of him and that is very ill advised.
Harold is often very curious and can pry where he's not wanted but he's a very serious person who never likes to relax and has difficulty comforting others other than providing practical help but he likes to see a job well done.

Background/History
Harold was born to a wild goat herd in Russia but learned how to take human form at a very early age and quickly learned how to act human.
However his unparalleled coordination due to his goat side drew the attention of the Russian special forces (KGB) when they saw him competing in various sporting competitions.
Quickly mastering the art of stealth he worked for many years as a secret agent for the Russian authorities and learned through that of others like himself.
Temporarily abandoning his post he managing to kidnap Sammu and went about grilling him on all the details but unfortunately in this case he'd met his match and was unable to torture the truth out of Sam.
Impressed by Sam's ability to best him no matter what he tried Harold told Sam that long ago he'd pledged himself to those of his herd but had been unable to find others.
He made that promise before joining KGB and so it annulled the promise he made to the Russian authorities.
Seeing as Sam had bested Harold he saw Sam as the leader of the herd and promised to follow his orders.
Relatives/Family
Nobody knows anything about Harold's family as he never talks about them other than saying that he misses them.
World/Setting
To all intense purposes the main canon Harold belongs to is almost a carbon copy of the real world. For that reason Harold often takes human form in public but around John's apartments where everyone is his friend and knows his secret he can be found in goat form. Similarly when in the club he frequents he may take goat form as long as only him and the fellow members of John's apartments are present, which is often the case.
Harold can also appear in other canons by using the teleporting door of The HORS Hotel to hop dimensions, in which case the laws of that world apply, apart from anything that changes the Harold persona into something it's not.
In these kinds of settings it might be normal for anthropomorphic animals to exist so Harold will take the form of a goat if that's the case.
It's important to remember that Harold wont suddenly develop forward vision or become a full goat instead of his planarian body even if you want. He is who he is and you gotta just live with that.
Body
Appears to be a mountain goat with white fur all over, dark green eyes, black horns and black hooves.
I say appears because his body itself is rather a bit more complicated than that (see character description).
Harry can use his hooves much like hands and that includes his hind legs. He has 2 digits at the end of the palm and something resembling a thumb on EACH side of the palm. These 'thumbs' become the rubber nubs that goats have behind their hooves when they cross his palm so he CAN walk on them.
Even when quadrupedal Harry has the same mobility in his shoulders and hips as humans do and can rotate his wrist as much as humans too.
Harry is comfortable on both 2 and 4 legs and highly coordinated. He can even use his grasping feet to wield weapons and grab people when in a handstand or climb up things without the use of his hands. However his ankles don't have the same mobility as his wrists.
Clothing
Harold usually wears the same deal day after day.
A black armored vest.
A dark green army jacket.
And faded green army pants.
It's worth noting that Harold doesn't wear shoes in his goat form and the pants stop at his ankles which is the backwards pointing bend in his leg. Bare that in mind when drawing him.
His clothes will change their shape somewhat to adapt to his shifting form so that they don't rip or fall down. However this may only apply to his default outfit.
