Character Sheet for Sammu Akuchin Wamm AKA Sammu Tireundashi, Sammu Durtok and Jo John (latter only used in Do No Harm) [Sammu's not short for Samuel or Samurai] [Sammu and Wamm are actual names people have, not made up]
Nickname(s)
prefers Sam, dislikes nicknames related to his height such as Shrimp and Short-stack (don't call him Wammu, it's not funny anymore, it's been done to death)
Sex/Gender
Male (yes, I'm sure about that, and to be sure about that isn't offensive, you're just a jerk)
Species
Takir which is a race from the Albion series. The nearest comparison is the North American mountain goat but there are some notable differences (read below)
Age
Born 01/04/69. Physically he's built similar to a child due to his pituitary dwarfism. He's actually an adult and if he's old he doesn't act his age. Seems to be in his 20's.
Character Description
Sam isn't just 1 person. Sam you see, isn't technically real, he's a concept.
Sam is a persona that several individuals share at different times or sometimes even at the same time though this is kept to a minimum. This makes Sam near impossible to defeat because if you ever actually do manage to get past his long list of fail-safe strategies you'll only kill off 1 person and not the concept that is Sam as a whole.
That's not to mention that often certain powers and abilities might be retained from the impersonator making Sam's abilities difficult to guess which he has at any given time and by careful selection of impersonator also potentially specialized for the task at hand.
Despite this every version of Sam tends be almost identical as if the character is so well understood what they are that each person can act completely in character. However, sometimes certain things have broken the act such as encountering the impersonator's worst fear or things that go strongly against their personal beliefs.
Once an individual can no longer be Sammu a magical device implanted in every impersonator's soul known as a 'crux' lets the other impersonators know as well as carrying over the memories of their time as Sam. Even if the crux doesn't fire, the lack of regular update signal from the crux will alert the other impersonators to something going wrong and force them to investigate.
The crux also has a neat respawning quirk that's quite powerful. Kill a Sammu and he can respawn wherever he chooses, similar to teleportation. The original body remains but by drawing a tiny amount of life force from lifeforms in the surrounding area to power the crux (that area potentially covering a whole solar system) it can construct a new body instantaneously and put the soul inside.
There needs to be at least 12 other Sammu-sized individuals in the same solar system for this to work properly without causing lasting harm to the individuals that power it. Normally planets are pretty full so the amount taken from any 1 person is usually so small it cannot be detected. The crux can also reconstruct a soul if need be but that would require as much power as reconstructing a body on top of the body it has to do as well.
Aside from that Sam's unusual body provides quite the dilemma for anyone planning to wipe him out. Though having the physical appearance of a goat the takir are in fact evolved from his planet's equivalent of the tree kangaroo as opposed to our planet's primates. However Sammu himself is an impersonator of that species.
He is in fact some sort of planarian (flat worm like) in a rough stickman shape with armored skull and digits. This means his actual body is much narrower than his build and it's due to thick hair that he resembles a shape with more bulk. This hair is so thick beyond the reach of what would be a real takir's skin it can't be cut by conventional blades. It also allows him to move his real body inside the hair making him able to avoid being shot whilst allowing bullets to pass through his form.
As well as his near indestructible skull making it difficult for head shots there's also the issue of his healing factor. Being a planarian he can in fact heal any part of his body as long as the rest of him is still alive. His planarian side also gives him the option to breathe orally or through his skin making him difficult to suffocate, especially since with either method he can breathe underwater. Being a true planarian he also has no heart and relies on movement to circulate his blood though he can stay still for hours without harm by putting himself into a state of stasis similar to hibernation. He does however hunger for salt which he needs to sustain himself.
He has direction hearing which gives him the ability to hear the tiniest noises from far away but it has to be focused on a target so he can't hear around him. Counter to that he has 360 vision but he's somewhat short-sighted and it can be a hindrance in bright light
Personality
Where to start? He's certainly both complex and irregular. He seems nice and friendly, not necessarily energetic but not a wallflower either. He's possibly an omnivert. He can socialize well, very well in fact. He gets away with murder. He can be cute and funny sometimes and even charismatic but behind it is a calculating mind often sinister intentions. He often decides he wants something and goes to huge lengths to get it including people and he has a fierce temper if somewhat suppressed when someone threatens to damage his property. That includes hurting his friends including hurting them emotionally. He's capable of quite complex social traps to get people to do what he wants though it does seem he's still rather fair in his use of such things. He respects females more than males somewhat to his disadvantage as he's often eager to please. In fact it's somewhat fair to say he gets along better with women than men. He also doesn't like cowards in the sense of people who don't try.
Likes/Dislikes
Sam has a love/hate relationship with humanity. On the one hand he's very aware of society's faults and can barely tolerate them but on the other he finds their species somewhat fascinating in the way they are so alien to him, literally.
Sam also has a love/hate relationship with authority. He respects that they might mean well and are trying to help people but when that interferes with his interests he has to bite his own words.
On that note human feet are a particular interest.
Sam respects nice people, often has a good eye for people's character and often helps those individuals grow as a person. When he finds the opposite though he will go to great efforts to give them a hard time.
Sam believes that females are goddesses and should be respected as such even though he often socializes with them better than men. Conversely, he expects males to be hard working and brave.
Sam loves salt and somewhat relies on it to sustain himself.
Sam likes the outdoors, especially the cold.
Background/History
Sam appears in several different series, each with a different backstory. The main canon is the one generated by the fanbase which goes as follows.
Sam was living as a goat with his family in the rocky mountains when hunters shot his mother in the neck. Women don't fight so this was socially unacceptable. His father rushed to attack the men but after forcing them to retreat down the mountain one man grabbed the goat's leg and pulled him off the cliff they were climbing. This is an illegal move in goat society so it was cheating.
After all the adults in the entire heard were slain Sam helped the children to a safe place. Afterwards he tracked the humans to their camp and slaughtered them all relying on the way humans thought he was cute to lure them into his traps.
Later some animal rescuers heard of the event after encountering Sam who was now the leader of the heard were lead to the kids who they took to a sanctuary in Hubei, China. At the sanctuary Sam stood out as different being able to imitate human gestures and speech. However by the time the authorities learned of this Sam had already escaped and followed a visiting Wudang monk home to his temple.
There he managed to live in secret as one of the monks learning about Dao and became an excellent martial artist. However his superiors worried that Sam spent too much time focusing on combat skills rather than the peaceful philosophy and often manipulated others into getting what he wanted so they taught him the art of Chinese medicine.
Sam found that he was particularly good at meridianism, a form of acupressure as well as other knowledge about the body and he was for some time able to use his skills to help people with illnesses without the fact that he's a goat being discovered.
He then tried to move on to becoming a doctor but they laughed at the concept of a goat being able to practice medicine even before he got the chance to show that he could walk and talk like a real person.
Disheartened he traveled the world to find himself accidentally becoming addicted to a fermented class B narcotic known as Bang before finally arriving in Scotland. There he encountered John Samer who like the Wudang monks understood Sam completely and they formed some sort of friendship.
After discovering how to make himself human form and multiple failed relationships Sammu got in a drunken fight and was arrested for GBH where he came across Soubi Petalfeather in the prison asylum and accidentally almost killed him. Soubi now severely ill Sammu used his crux trick which he learned from the monks to make Soubi well again however it was at the cost of making Soubi's default form a replica of Sammu's.
After becoming everyone's friend in the prison asylum Sammu and Soubi either escaped or served their term, nobody is really sure which, it was very confusing. Soubi having nowhere to go Sammu took him in the three friends shared one of John's apartments (apartment 3B) somehow acquiring several other individuals to do so along the way.
Over the following years Sammu built up an organized criminal gang using people from the apartment block and adding anyone he liked to the ranks by manipulating them into staying there. It became a running joke that Sam would bring home random strangers like a child who found a puppy.
Later Sam's business ventures included the purchase of a cruise ship (the Antigone Maru) and the associated tour company and a Japanese love hotel (The HORS Hotel) which he used a portal spell to move the entrance door to wherever he liked (usually somewhere around town). However in the case of a local night club named The Lounge he left the current owner Phil in charge since Sam didn't know what to do with it but remained an investor to keep it afloat since he liked the friendly feel of the place.
This is the canon for Sam Wamm, Tireundashi is canon to the Albion universe, Durtok the Oasis universe and Jo John the Do No Harm universe. Each has their own individual backstory.
Relatives/Family
After several failed relationships with multiple different characters too numerous to mention, Sam begot his current girlfriend, Chu Mary, a waitress on the Antigone Maru, a cruise ship owned by Sam himself.
Sam's birth parents died when Sam was a child but he has an adopting family which he detests, his mother Bor Scarlet and his sister Lilac Cherry, who are both very self-centered with attitude problems.
Aside from this, Sam still has his birth sister Violet Akuchin from which Sam gets his middle name. She was a goat until Sam made her more like his own species as a loving gesture, though now Sam can't tolerate her either due to her extreme feminist views.
Sammu treats the fellow lodgers of John's apartments as his family and recently it was revealed that his roommate Toni Bo was actually Sam's own son who he sneaked in among the other lodgers.
Sam often treats Chamelea Harding, Soubi's daughter, like his own child and has done more to raise her with the expected results.
World/Setting
To all intense purposes the main canon Sam belongs to is almost a carbon copy of the real world. For that reason Sam often takes human form in public but around John's apartments where everyone is his friend and knows his secret he can be found in goat form. Similarly when in the club he frequents he may take goat form as long as only him and the fellow members of John's apartments are present, which is often the case.
Sam can also appear in other canons by using the teleporting door of The HORS Hotel to hop dimensions, in which case the laws of that world apply, apart from anything that changes the Sam persona into something it's not.
In these kinds of settings it might be normal for anthropomorphic animals to exist so Sam will take the form of a goat if that's the case.
It's important to remember that Sam wont suddenly develop forward vision or become a full goat instead of his planarian body even if you want. He is who he is and you gotta just live with that.
Body
Appears to be a mountain goat kid with white fur all over, green eyes, green insides (including the mouth), black horns and black hooves.
I say appears because for 1 he's an adult despite his childlike body due to his pituitary dwarfism and also his body itself is rather a bit more complicated than that (see character description).
Sam can use his hooves much like hands and that includes his hind legs. He has 2 digits at the end of the palm and something resembling a thumb on EACH side of the palm. These 'thumbs' become the rubber nubs that goats have behind their hooves when they cross his palm so he CAN walk on them.
Even when quadrupedal Sam has the same mobility in his shoulders and hips as humans do and can rotate his wrist as much as humans too.
Sam is comfortable on both 2 and 4 legs and highly coordinated. He can even use his grasping feet to wield weapons and grab people when in a handstand or climb up things without the use of his hands. However his ankles don't have the same mobility as his wrists.
Clothing
Sam actually has an array of outfits and it's completely plausible for people to draw him in something new in their own canon. However he has a few standard outfits that occur most often.
1, a green changshan jacket often with a large black qi written in oracle bone script on both the front and back and black harem pants.
2, a green sweater either with or without the qi symbol mentioned above and black sweatpants.
3, the Wuhan Zall orange soccer outfit. Often worn when playing soccer or supporting his team when they play.
It's worth noting that Sammu doesn't wear shoes in his goat form and the pants stop at his ankles which is the backwards pointing bend in his leg. Bare that in mind when drawing him.
His clothes will change their shape somewhat to adapt to his shifting form so that they don't rip or fall down. However this may only apply to his 3 default outfits.
Accessories
Sam has an aquatic laptop that he uses to communicate online. It's software is very old and out of date so he can't run modern games on it. It has a very thick plastic casing that's transparent which makes the laptop more like the size of two thick books. The casing is very sturdy and the hinge on it is just as bulky. You could probably drop it a few stories and it would still work though nobody dares to test that theory knowing Sammu's anger issues. Inside it has a liquid cooling system removing the need for a fan. This is so that Sam can take the laptop with him when he goes diving which he often does. it has a strap on it so that he can attach it to his wrist in case he drops it. The internet connection underwater however is not good.
Sam has a green backpack with black straps, a black flap and black front and side pockets. Inside he often keeps his custom weapon and sometimes his laptop.
Sam's weapon is a pole hammer suited to his size so it's somewhat sort compared to full height people and more like a wand.
The head is somewhat similar to Sam's hand (see body) with the thumbs resting at the sides, a green palm and black digits. The two protruding digits are slightly spread apart from each other making 2 prongs. Sam can use this slot to catch things between or use the digits to poke people in their pressure points at a distance. The hooves on this weapon are trapezoidal so the edges are sharp but not thin enough to be effectively used like a bladed weapon without some awkward moves and a lot of skill through a full body swing will likely draw blood.
The arm of the hammer is fairly plain by comparison. Simple alternating black and green sections along the length of it.
Though Sam can wield the weapon with ease to others it's actually rather heavy and appears to be made of cast iron. Somehow Sam can flex the weapon back to its original shape at will if it becomes bent but should it be broken into pieces he wont be able to fix it without reforging it.
