This is Daisy, one of the Sensational Sisters from the Pokemon TV show, and one of Misty's three sisters.

I kind of surprised myself when I made this.
Who knew I could animate worth a damn? Not me.
While creating their sprites for my Pokemon game, I was bitten by the animation bug and this emerged.
This uses way more walk frames than I would normally use. 12 as opposed to... 3?
Even though they're not particularly important characters in the game, I had the sudden urge to give the Sensational Sisters the special treatment and fully develop their characters, personalities, and then design their sprites accordingly.
Daisy is going to be cheerful and naive, so I tried to portray that through the way that she walks.
I still haven't created any of the other walk cycles yet.

I'm debating whether I should put this kind of detail into the rest of the walk cycles or just hurry up and finish Cerulean City so I can finally post a freakin' update to this game.
My last update was literally an entire year ago!

Sometimes a games potential is seen through the hard work of the little things put into the game, from the smallest pixel, to walk animations. then again, sometimes less is more, in that simpler is better. really, it all depends on the way you look at it. However, given the choices, I'd say go ahead and put in the same hard working details in the other sisters move sets, since her's will make a comparison to the others that may or may not fit very well.

It is important for there to be a balance between quality and efficiency. If you feel you can make 12-frame animations and do it in a reasonable time then it would definitely be worth it.
