Taylor could hear her brother snoozing peacefully in his bedroom. The though of disturbing him bothered her, but the nightmare she had not a few minutes earlier had left her too frightened and paranoid to find her own room comfortable.
She pushed his door open slowly, listening for him to stir. "Tristan?" she whispered, not wanting to wake him, but merely alert him to her presence if he was awake. His reply of snores told her he was far from disturbed.
With her blanket in tow, the young coyote gently closed the door behind her, banishing the light from the hallway and returning the room to darkness. Even though she knew he would be more than willing to share his bed with her, she thought it would be silly to wake him over a scary dream. Quietly, she took up a spot on the floor beside his bed and curled up in her sheet.
The floor was cold and hard, but she felt safe knowing he was there with her. That alone was enough to allow the pup to fall back to sleep.

So I came across this picture of a character reclining in a similar position to Tristan here and wanted to do my own take on it. I didn't even use it for reference. This was all eyeballed and freehanded. And I gotta say, I like how it came out. As far as sketches go, this is one of my favorites right now.
You may also notice similarities to another artist's style here. I just love how rough his sketches are and maybe put a little too much effort into emulating it... [shrugs audibly]
