What can I say?

The Google doodle for Jim Henson's 75th birthday led me on a wild ride through various muppet clips on youtube, among other classic cartoon themes.

I won't list them all. But I'm surprised I never thought about how much of an influence he was. I've never seen that clip of Big Bird singing "It's not easy being green" at the memorial... but I was on the verge of crying before I even pressed play.

Now, after spending most of the day working on this, it's time for me to go to sleep. I hope you all enjoy my small homage to a great man, and find the inspiration you need.

A well-executed portrait.
You can hear the VA for Big Bird--who is also his sole muppeteer and was in the suit for the performance-- choking often as he sings the song. A manly tears moment if there ever was one.
This greymuzzle was there for the original run of Sesame Street and the Muppet Show, itself a coveted ticket for the celebs of the 70s. There are simply too many good memories to go over them all, so I'll just keep this light-hearted:
