I made it completely, from start to finish. It's also a postworked render, but when my render took 50 seconds in Cinema4D and the painting itself took upwards of 9 hours, it's more 2D than 3D at this point.

Oooh, I can definitely see the Etrian Oddysey influence. Personally I think that the Etrian Oddysey has an overall beautiful art direction, especially in the scenery. The characters in EO I can take or leave.

People are not lining up to offer me the kind of commissions at the level of payment I need to support myself and I can get clients very quickly in this fandom when I need money fast and I don't have time to dick around going broke.
I mean, define "professional" ... it's just freelancing, isn't it? Until I build up my portfolio more, I still can't compete toe-to-toe with other artists on ConceptArt.org just yet.

I just don't think drawing what I love is wasting my talents, I think it's doing exactly what I wanted to do with them in the first place. And if I didn't get anything out of it, I wouldn't still be doing it.
Sometimes I put my background pieces here, but sometimes they end up only on DA or whatever. My art is split between a lot of places, and tumblr aggregates most of it. For now.
