On two postings, here I was doing a drawing of a constable's office, and there was no flag of the country they are in.
I've by now made the corrections.

Corrections are made to the pics linked to this BB code tag;

I added a pic to this one;

And I added the flag pole to the one with the approaching night storm...I even drew the hoist lines being blown by a gust of wind;

Thanks.
I can't believe that was one thing I left out of the drawings.

I gave the flag a natural wind wave in this pic.

It looked too ridged at first.

An escritoire is a writing desk.
I recall from Ben Franklin's autobiography (which was never finished,but became episodal near the end.) an incident where Franklin was disappointed that he had not received some papers that he had been promised. He was told that the reason why he never got the credit papers was that the promisee had no credit to give, but was generous with promises !
"But I constantly see him at his escritoire"
"Yes, but he's like St.George on the signs. Always on horseback, and never rides on !"

I quote from memory, as I first listened to a 16rp phonograph record that was one of a long series of 16rp's to present whole novels in audio form. I no longer have a phonograph with this speed, and the library has replaced the records with CDs.
