Previously, from last year, 2010:
" It's the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the Northern Hemisphere's Summer Solstice! (That's June 27 this year!) Happy Souther everyone!

...Unfortunately, I couldn't think of an animal to use for Souther, so here's a pet rock until I do.

Fortunately, I have come up with an animal for Souther: the Souther Squirrel and her Australian counterpart, the Souther Sugar Glider.  Come Souther day, they dance on the heads of good little boys and girls, bringing squirrelly dreams to quiet slumber, all the while giving out chocolate rocks (half-melted from summer's heat, of course) and slinging sugared nuts at the heads of passersby.  Ah, fun times.

This year's picture will come when I'm nuts enough to post it. :p

I don't know.  If you give a pet rock a whirl and you lose your grip, it could cause considerable damage.  LOL.
