Character Description
The Hotel manager in the main town in 2 separate games Salsa though being physically around the age of 50 is still very young at heart and in particular rather flirtatious. Sassy with an attitude and a no nonsense policy she knows how to put troublesome guests in their place. However a practically minded and hard working person when she needs to be combined with her forward thinking means she can formulate a plan and see it through. Frighteningly strong even for her race she often doesn't know her own strength and can injure others if she gets too excited especially given how overweight she is. However being obsessed with her hotel business she's unlikely to join any cause to save the world.
Personality
Though physically in her 40s she doesn't act like it and she can be sassy, flirtatious and overzealous where work or drinking is concerned. Very loyal to her friends but rather closed minded she can want to help them in times of need but doesn't often check if they need anything. Often confident and with a can do attitude she can be bossy and arrogant at times however she doesn't think herself as being above other people unless that person is in the wrong. Being strong in a fight due to her strength and fitness despite being overweight she does not back down from a fight though even with her attitude she's reluctant to start fights herself as there are better ways to win an argument. A good planner but somewhat lacking in quick thinking she often resorts to acting on instinct though if she knows the right thing to do she can stubbornly fight her cause. She doesn't like to be told she's wrong and despite having a nasty temper is the king of control and can suppress her frustration well.
Likes/Dislikes
likes flirting with guests, doing paperwork and lying around doing nothing. dislikes annoying customers and being told what to do, especially if that person is right and she can't argue with them.
Background/History
Being part of a large but caring family and given her attitude Salsa was keen to leave the family to head out on her own. After her parents trained her how to survive on her own she got a job as a receptionist in Hearthtown, her home town. The hotel was a good one, sat right next to the Dimensaia base of operations at the center of town. When the hotel manager retired Salsa took the job as the proprietor and turned the hotel into a highly successful business with the help of her bellhop Chris Baker, who later went on an adventure to save the universe and became a local hero.
Unfortunately their actions though heroic set about a chain of events that lead to war across Valhalor. Fearing that Chris would be hated as a villain Salsa moved to the front line to enlist Chris in the Urgan side of the battle. However Chris disapproved of the war and ran away and disappeared. Salsa was left fighting for the Urgans and was unable to go looking for him. Salsa later learned that Chris had been kidnapped by Commander Signif, a war hero for the enemy Mekan side, and feared the worst. However when the war was near its end Chris was rescued and brought back to the Urgan side, though he actually enjoyed working for the Mekan side and grew to hate Salsa as a result for helping the Urgans defeat and capture Signif.
In 2552, Salsa's Hotel business broke down due to the political situation involving the town it was situated in so Salsa moved to Olrit taking Chris with her to meet an old friend to ask for advice and as a place to stay. Soon after a job as Hotel Manager in Diegoltun popped up and Salsa took it taking Chris with her. Soon after Diegoltun became a hot tourist resort and business boomed. Bacon Cell, the former proprietor, was allowed to stay on as Registrar and Front of House.
Relatives/Family
The Axe family live around Hearthtown. They are quite an extensive family and Salsa has many siblings of varying ages. Salsa who owns a hotel is good friends with Chris Baker her bellhop. In the game Monsterville, Bacon Cell is the hotel Receptionist though previously Salsa had this position in her hotels before.
World/Setting
WoTA:
Midverse is a dimension that's unique. They have the technology to travel to other dimensions and have welcomed many dimensions into their glorious colony. At the center of this indoctrination is the planet Rexus Terra where a group known as the Dimensaia travel to new planets and new dimensions seeking colonies of sentient life to join the cause. On planet Terra a naturally occurring genetic mutation known as Hearthkind produces hermaphrodite individuals that are naturally blessed by good luck and are destined for great things. These Hearthkind people are often highly sought after by businesses due to their good luck, but on Terra the Dimensaia is the best job available and, since the Hearthkind get first pick, they often end up working there. Recently however there's been trouble with some of the worlds that was incorporated. A rebel calling herself Queen Debora has been turning the people of the colony against it and promising great things to those who leave that she cannot deliver. As a new recruit in the Dimensaia your first task is to seek out Debora and put an end to her trouble-making.
Monsterville:
The Valhalor world is a mixture between real-world, fantasy and sci-fi settings with the second item being a more dominant factor. There are 8 islands in Valhalor, 5 of which are divided into multiple countries. Many years ago there was a war between the Dozers of Meka Island and the Yovans of South Island, which resulted in Valhalor being divided into 2 warring alliances. Monsterville is a country in South Island that is strongly fantasy themed, though Olrit county in particular is very much modern day. Monsterville is mostly forested and has a European look. It's home to a lot of unusual wildlife and often hazardous kinds. Diegoltun City is the main setting for the Monsterville game which this character is from. The city has a wide range of businesses from shops, craft works and restaurants to offices, entertainment and tourist attractions. There are also several smaller villages around Diegoltun and the city itself is sat next to a much larger city known as Olrit.
