The amount of work that went into it really shows in the smoothness and complexity. My favorite touch is how the brush on the tail turns into the spade tail.

Impressive even four years latter. I just came across this today, and felt, Wow! That's so smooth. I even had to watch it loop several times just to take in all the transitions going on in it, one after the other. Along with the word FIN that shows up at the end. Some very nice work. ^.^
So this was some commission work. I wonder what was paid to get this.
I just came from someone who asks for $300 up front for his commission works, but his gallery has noting near as nice in it as this. And all his works are in scraps, nothing shown in a main gallery, showing off why his works would be worth $300. O.o

Oh! Thank you so much! It so cool to read your kind words. But you'll be laugthing. This animation wasn't costed... nothing! %) It was very strange commission for me. The customer asked to draw transformation. But just a drawing, not animation. But I wanted to try myself in animation so much and I offered to customer to try an experiment with the same price $10. ^-^ He agreed. Then I made a lot of work. redrew it dozen times because I'm so new in animation. It took a half of a year before finished!
But then there were some customer's life causes and he told me he can't pay me.
Well. I didn't blamed him. Life is hard nut. I wanted to try animation and I did it. I had got a LOT of useful experience.^-^

Well, is good you feel it was worth your time for the experience you gained, and it was kind of you go give it for free in the end. After having someone wait half a year to get something by me, I likely would have given it for free also, just for that alone. It depends on what it was.
If I can find it, I should post a short animation I did for someone for free, animating a still drawing they made. The person didn't even know I was working on it. And he liked the surprise after I showed it to him once done. ^.^ It was a very simple animation, that likely took me about two hours at most to do.
It's good yours is in an mp4. Mine was made into an animated gif, and the quality was degraded a bit from that. O.o
