Here's a few tips from your friendly Inkbunny moderator before we go live . . .
I've noticed some artists uploading their best mature work here. That's good! We want that! But you should also strongly consider uploading your best G-rated work as well.
Why? Because many visitors aren't logged in, and won't see sexually mature works. If you're not offering anything that qualifies for a General rating, they have no chance to see your work on the front page, or the list of most popular items for sale.
Even if people don't want to buy your work, they might still be willing to donate if they like it - but they can only do that if you have your tip jar turned on. If you haven't flipped the switch, now's the time.
Also, if you've not set a featured work, you might want to click the Make Featured link at the top right of a submission of your choice. These show up in the user list and on your user page, and are a neat way to promote your best work, even if it's not your most recent. It's a good idea to choose a G-rated work, for the reason mentioned above - you don't want visitors to see a big grey X on your user page!
Remember to tag your submissions, and be sure to make use of the multi-page submission feature to show off those sketches. Don't be fussed if they're not perfect - trust me, people love to see how your work came together.
Lastly, consider writing a journal or two, or at least fill out a detailed profile, and try to respond to the comments that make you smile. Friends and acquaintances can be your best customers; if they feel a personal connection, they're much more likely to send money your way.
We're very close to launch now. I hope you're as excited as we are!
all extremely good advice!- especially the notes about posting a pool via bbcode- useful since i know that i personally tend to somewhat like to organize things with journals, and then post the links in my profile... good, good info =D thank you :D
