a suggestion for ai stuff

this goes out to

i am sick of seeing the "i forgot to add the ai tags" crap that people constantly come up with. so i came up with a solution to this problem that isnt skippable and must be mandatory to check.

add an option to the submission page with 3 options that are mandatory. the user uploading a submission MUST check one of these options.

1: ai generated art
2: ai assisted art
3: a regular submission that is not ai generated.

checking the first two options will automatically add "ai, ai_generated, ai_generated_art or ai_assisted" tags to these submissions. this way people dont magically "forget" to add the tags.
should the person be bold enough to not click the proper one then i believe a punishment is in order.

there, you have a solution here for ai generated content and people tagging it correctly and not "forgetting" now kindly implement this into the site please.

These are good solutions, because I'm sure those people who say these things are doing it on purpose. At least the ones who keep "forgetting" to tag. Because keep forgetting something isn't forgetting anymore, it's intentional.

There are real artists as well who don't tag their art much or at all, so I hope those will remember to use tags that people have already on their block list as well.

exactly my point. just a few days ago i came across a user who uploaded ai generated art TWICE and had comments, pms and tag suggestions turned off. they did that intentionally. this would help prevent that and if someone tags it wrong on purpose or doesnt choose the correct option then action will be taken.

I still think a different section entirely, like the animated and written sections, would be warranted.

I've brought up this before before learning Writing and Music sections are separate to showcase those segments, since they are quickly pushed off by visual uploads. They're actually still part of the main feed as well.

As for eeveefan's suggestion: That would be an inconvenience to all users; while the few that fail to tag ai are quickly reported and informed of the rules.

I think I agree with Telain here... there good suggestions but it would impact ALL users not just AI generateing ones.

and?
kevin, this is an option that would take 2 seconds to click if its ai generated or not.
sure it impacts everyone but this is the result of allowing ai generated content on this platform.
greenreaper allowed ai to be posted here and im sick of seeing people "forget" to tag stuff correctly. this would help place the proper tags in place, its an option to click.
theres no ifs, ands, or buts about it. if ai is allowed here and people are magically "forgetting" to tag things properly then it needs to be put in. if we have to suffer allowing ai on the site then everyone else has to suffer clicking an option on an upload.

i agree this would not take much time at all but it IS still a salution to requires EVERYBODY ELSE to do something beocuse some people are to damn lazy to tag.

hense why it probobly wont get implamented.

how would it be an inconvenience?
its merely clicking an option that takes, what? 2 seconds to do?
this would make it so that people dont accidently "forget" to tag their posts properly.
its not like im asking for a seriously complex thing to happen, im merely asking for an option to be put in place that prevents people from forgetting. this way the proper tags can be put in place as soon as they confirm thats what the art is.
kindly explain to me your view on this cause i fail to see why this wouldnt be a good thing.

edit: it would also mean less reports on your end.

It's a simple checkbox people are going to just glaze past. We couldn't even attribute it to lying that they didn't select the right box any more than failing to tag it now. How many people are using programs to post to a variety of sites that would then need to update before they worked again?

If people are consistently failing to tag AI submissions, then submit a report on it and it'll be dealt with.

" How many people are using programs to post to a variety of sites that would then need to update before they worked again?"

not really our problem is it?
greenreapers the one who allowed ai on this site. im merely offering a type of solution here.

"If people are consistently failing to tag AI submissions, then submit a report on it and it'll be dealt with."

and how many reports do you have to deal with on a daily basis? i feel that this would lessen reports at least by a bit.

We have plenty of staff to handle some quick AI notices. They also serve to check that they're complying with the rest of the policy. If they're failing to tag, they probably aren't providing the required information either.

To be clear, we appreciate you suggesting tags and reminding users, I just don't feel adding inconvenience to everyone is the right way to handle it.

I think the main friction-point of your counter is the requirement.

Unfortunately, I can't view the actual form without uploading a file first, so I can't reference it at the moment. But. What I would lament about the upload form is if it did not contain any information or guidance about utilizing AI. Having the information there, especially with digestable wording and potentially checkboxes that, when checked, automatically apply the tags; and, add an additional spot to put the prompt (that just basically appends it to the description) without making any of it required, would be a helpful UI update to users.

It wouldn't require external posting programs to update, but they can update if they choose to align with the upload form. Users would still blow past it, but at least it's there and it's best-effort, and some users might actually catch it and then hey that's a better user experience. Having it automatically apply the tags prevents typos as well. I know there's preview-selection but I type my tags out separately and then just yolo them in. I often have to fix typos later. No, I refuse to learn.

I've been back for four whole days, jeez.

Telain makes some valid points, but my view is that I would be unlikely to spend time on features that are specifically about AI. It doesn't make sense. As the ticket volume has become manageable, the better course would be to slowly improve the user experience around reporting things, to make Support Tickets more accessible to users, and improve Support Tickets themselves to offer a better experience for staff working them.

From what I've seen, most tickets are resolved now the same day that they're filed, often times within an hour or two. There's probably still room for improvement (we've got really good US and EU timezone coverage now, but a lot less APJ timezone coverage). But tickets being resolved same day is still much better.

If we get reports, we can educate users that are failing to tag things. If they keep failing to tag things, we can deal with that as well. But the changes you describe would be a bad band-aid, and would take as much work as structural improvements that offer far more benefit. If you're helping users by suggesting tags, but they're repeatedly needing that help, you can report that, and we can make sure they understand it's not optional, it's not something to fix after the fact.

uhh what? since when did you leave? i had no idea you went anywhere.

but if this is the way you want to do it then fine by me.
at this point i wont even ask the user or put in the proper tags, ill just report them.

I left in February for personal reasons, and returned only this week.

I am not saying you need to report every person you suggest tags for. But if you're repeatedly helping the same person, then they should perhaps receive more forceful help.

For real and disqualify ai shit from being in the featured tab. Its straight up fucking insulting.
