Eh, tbh, IB is honestly the single most intuitive, and user friendly furry site out there right now. And in terms of popularity, its not all that far behind FA. The only reason its not blowing past FA is because it allows cub. If cub didn't have such a massive stigma to it, then it'd probably be the most used furry site lol

And imho, the only thing that could make IB better is a dark mode lol

The amount of angry crying furries who refuse to use Inkbunny when it has a blacklist so you don't have to look at the stuff you don't like is pretty funny.

And 100% agree on a dark mode, or just a nice darker background piece. My personal favourite is City Sunset by Lando...easy on the eyes for the most part.

Yea i agree what they say and what they do are two different things. I was just showing that they did make a post on it.

They need to redo their stories UI if they want to be better at them. Sofurry is the best one for Stories honestly at this point in time and I honestly hate trying to read things on here because of it.

I think IB is better for stories than SoFurry...also, you know, IB has mass deletion options, rather than having to click the story, click edit, and click delete like on SoFurry lmao.

Having uploaded hundreds of stories to SoFurry, they definitely do not have a good UI for stories. You can't just upload a .txt file like for IB, you have to copy/paste it in yourself and frankly if you formatting is bad you have to reformat the entire thing, in my experience.

It might be/have been the best in terms of community for stories, but I don't know any more after this.

I missed when SoFurry used 2 b YiffStar and Cubs Stuff weren't offended.

Stupid people out there thinks that Cub Stuff is considered Pedefile.

They should know that Cub Stuff isn't as offensive then Shotacon because Cubs are Furry and we Humans are not.

At least Cub Stuff isn't as offensive then Shotacon.

I guess the reason is because they are jealous that they can't "get some" and the pics & such that they see are.

IF they want 2 blame somebody then blame themselves 4 creating as well as inventing sex, porn & hentai in the 1st place.

Also blame themselves 4 not hiding their sex act from us better much less failed 2 give us the so called birds and the bees story.

One by one I believe. Thankfully there are backup sites that have rips of a lot of the stories, but who knows how reliable that is.

It REALLY sucks as SF's format for reading is much easier on the eyes and much easier to use. Going to miss that.

My only disappointment is that there's nowhere for stories with human stuff. Pokephilia and the like are fun concepts, but you can't do teen/young human trainers on Inkbunny, cant do underage at all for FA and SF.

You can still link to stories externally in the same fashion as art on IB, though I don't know anywhere you could host them. I don't even think Dropbox would be a good idea.

I think thankfully IB is in a safe area as they put a lot of effort into finding a service that would house their server and allow them to have cub art. Cub stories are more of a grey area legally in that regard, so if art is allowed then stories definitely are.

Whether that'll change in the future, we don't know.

The stated reasoning is suspicious to me. Certain furries have deep pockets and throw stacks of cash on request to most anything. A fundraiser drive to get on a server with a more acceptable AUP would be over in days. I feel there are other reasons YiffStar SoFurry's admins have not stated.

I'm going to chalk it up to the management of the site wanting to do things their way and thinking this is an easy out to clear cub art off the site without them having to explicitly say they dislike it. The site dev speaks very personally about "HE" doesn't want to go to jail but never really explains why they're doing it so...who knows?

Their current policy on cub is kind of "one foot here, one there" as it is, so making their AUP more decisive only made sense. Unfortunately they leaned in the wrong direction. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they were just trying something different since they've been stagnant for a while anyway.

I knew this was coming as soon as they banned cub art. I knew writing would follow suit soon enough. So I brought all my stories over here to Inkbunny a long time ago. Not surprised.

Though, I do disagree about SF being unintuitive. It's not a good site for art, AT ALL, but I actually like it better than IB and FA for stories. I don't like the super narrow page-by-page view thing that Inkbunny does. And SF has two buttons that make reading stories on their platform very pleasant for me. "Fixed width" and "cozy mode."

So, honestly, I've missed SF ever since I had to leave. But only for stories.

Agreed. SF was much nicer for stories, and (till now) were very open about the content. There's plenty of places, even smaller ones, that at least tolerate cub art. But finding stories is damn hard.

And y'all know what...I had planned that upon completing on this site my story, Clarence Coyote and Project Courier, I was going to start posting that story on SoFurry.
In that story, there are some risque situations between the coyote cubs, Clarence and Sheryl...And a neighbor skunk cub, Gail, has sexual behavior issues he mom is always getting after her for.

But now...SoFurry will not be getting a copy of that story.

IB is the superior furry site as far as art/creative content goes and this update with SF kind of shows that once again. With IB you get a blacklist system, specific user submission blocking, banning, a better search system, better home page, etc. We get so many more options to control our experience here and still despite being viewed as "the cub site" shockingly seems to be the 2nd most used place. SF never really had anything going for it and this really doesn't help them out on that front. It's a move everyone likely saw coming but not cause it was some obvious good move...

This scares me. This sets a very dangerous precedent that, if they do chose, they could do the same to IB. At least IMHO. What's to stop them from sending a letter to the head of IB. Times are changing, and I hate it.

From what the site developer of SoFurry said it's a legal issue for them-- they got served a letter that stated they'd get jailed if they didn't take it down. Thankfully, IB's servers and cache are in a country where they care very little about the depiction of cubs so it's a legal safe area. I don't forsee them having issues for years to come.

The sad thing is that a series called “Cub Services” (a sadly unfinished-gem featuring straight-shota romance between a fox lady and a wolf boy) is what got me into Sofurry in the first place. And of course this new policy of theirs comes right after my old hard-drive full of hundreds of my favorite stories fried. Then you get responses from ‘normal’ SF-users praising the mods for getting rid of the ‘perverts’ among them. ….Do I even have to explain the irony? *SIGH* I only wish I could have saved an Undertale story called “My Child,” a rather well-written /ss/ story staring Toriel & Frisk.
