So, continuing my thoughts on the activity level post... I have been thinking about posting any art up here. After thinking about it a while, I decided that generally artists want exposure. They want ...
So, I was looking at my own user page here and it's just so... empty. I was feeling bad about it, because while I am active here it's always to watch artists that don't have a presence elsewhere or wh...
I have been around in the furry fandom for a long time, but for a long time was not active in the community. I'm trying to change that! I do industrial control and automation for a living, and I try to be approachable so don't be afraid to note or shout at me. I don't bite and I try and keep a good sense of humor! I enjoy talking about the furry community, science and technology, anthropomorphic art and the various flavors of lycanthropy. I am not a very touchy-feely person unless I already know you.
I generally watch others create art or commission artists to create art for me. I prefer clean or tasteful nude art, but people sometimes (often?) are successful in being a bad influence, so there is NSFW content in my gallery. More NSFW than clean now that I think about it. I wonder what that says about me? Or the fandom? Hmm.
Way back, I used to do non-furry traditional media art, and after watching others create art for so long, I've decided to try my hand at character drawing. I am still working to improve myself. I LOVE talking to artists about the process of creating art, digital art techniques and basic art principles. I enjoy art streams because, while we learn by doing, I always seem to learn something even when just watching.
I have always liked lycanthropes, anthropomorphic dragons, other fantasy beasties (mostly anthropomorphic and usually feline) in general. Cheetahs are my favorite big cat, so that's what I've chosen for my character. I've probably played too many Khajiit characters in the Elder Scrolls™ games and I really liked their cheetah-esque look in Morrowind... (*) For the curious, my character name comes from a lycanthrope character I used to play back in high school and college. So if anyone thinks I copied their character or name, show me you were playing an anthropomorphic cheetah named Taleron pre-1987 and we can talk! I rarely use my character's name. In fact, I think Quaylak was the first artist to even think to ask me for it.
I follow artists here, but I am most active over at FA so that's the best bet if you want to follow me, watch me or talk to me. I will respond here, but will probably be slower.
