I’m just some idiot who enjoys generating AI images and experimenting with LoRAs. To put it bluntly, I don’t consider AI-generated images to be art in the traditional sense. Hand-drawn work requires far more skill, effort, and artistic ability, and I have a great deal of respect for artists who create their work by hand.
What I do find impressive, however, is the technical work behind AI generation: the programming, training, testing, and constant adjustment required to make an image turn out the way you imagined it. Generating an image itself is not particularly difficult, but properly training an AI model or creating a good LoRA can take a lot of time and effort. That is where the real work lies—making sure the results are consistent, accurate, and visually match what you intended.
So no, I don’t personally consider my AI images to be art. They are mostly just quick porn that I publish here on the site.
For what it’s worth, my profile picture is the last image I completed and painted entirely by hand.
