----- Birch discusses the work on the album with Les and tries to get him to back off Dipper. He then offers him this song.
----- When the idea of combining the voices of Dipper, Stargazer, and myself in a single song was first brought up two years ago, I remember I had already done it with Stewball, but I knew I could do better, so I went all out and recorded this. There are two vocal choruses on the left and right, with Birch singing the lead in the middle along with a descant of Dipper. I am very proud of this recorded for it's complexity, and especially the a capella part at the end of the second verse. This was the song that got the combination of the three voices called "The Beach Bears" by me, and I realized I was going to have to make up a third character to go along with Stargazer and Dipper, and thus Birch was created. This is still one of my favorite recordings.
