Hey, I was just thinking. Would it be possible for you guys (read: admins) to "stitch" the image together to create something that sort of pans across the entire image?
That way, over time you could slowly move across the screen and seem more of the background, and probably use some cutesy algorithm to create a lighting effect. Then just process and load to a select background file and rotate them hourly or something.

It's hard for me to say something that actually sounds different from both the other users and my past comments, but regardless of the fact I have to say that it's pictures like this why you're one of my favorite artists. As detailed as this is, you have done an excellent job of not adding too much detail to the landscape. Nothing seems to distract me from the rest of the art piece; if anything, I'd say that every corner of the painting has just enough to make my eyes move from one spot to the next, allowing me to truly appreciate the artwork in its entirety.
Also, the glowing mushrooms remind me of Morrowind and the mage's guild quest, probably because I'm playing through it right now (Argonian Knight, baby). It doesn't affect the picture at all, but I just thought I'd let you know.

I have always looked at the background picture of Inkbunny and wondered to myself who made it. How long and how difficult it was. I faved you elsewhere and I am surprised in a good way that this is your work. Very, very well done.

*O* I DO TOO! forests,trees,valleys..i try too from time to time to add up some realism to such kinda backgrounds when i happen to draw them...but i swear i would gladly give a finger from each of my two hands to be able to draw this kinda scenarious that belivably! *w*
btw...i suppose you have an huge load of Ram in your PC/Mac and a some sorta badass High-Duty NVIDIA/ATI Card to be able to draw on these resolutions stutterleslyy,right?
