Night Of Fear 3.0
My magnum opus. Completed in one non-stop 9-hour session, on the night of a full moon, just in time for Canada Day. This is my tribute to the progressive-rock vinyl album; so much so, this mix clocks in at exactly 33⅓ minutes (geddit??) :P

This mix is made up of 7 distinct movements:
1. This section hosts a myriad of different samples, including the Canadian National Anthem, Pink Floyd, Winston Churchill and Aretha Franklin.
2. This section features samples including Bobby Banks, Vanilla Ice and Queen.
3. This comprises of Everything But The Girl and Prince.
4. This section includes samples from Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Rolling Stones and The Jungle Brothers.
5. Me reciting the greatest poem I ever wrote (voice slightly sped-up). It's a poem about an Amish couple and their stable of horses possessed by the devil one fateful night.
6. This features Mark Antoine, Jay-Z and The Beatles.
7. The grand finale, which has Atomic Rooster, Wolfman Jack, Led Zeppelin and ELO. Wait for a hidden ending (Abbey Road-style).

I was impressed hearing and seeing Paul do his album of standards recently. :)

I've seen it, too, on PBS-- I think his creativity is slipping. :(

John was, is and always shall be the leader of The Beatles. Sorry Paul, but John is the dog's bollocks! ;)

I don't think Paul ever claimed the leadership role (Pete did, which was the final straw, leading to his replacement), but yes, it had always been John's band, starting when it was originally The Quarrymen.

After Brian Epstein died, Paul was really bossy and pushy especially during the "Get Back" sessions. The other 3 Beatles resented that; you could cut the tension with a knife. As for the rumor Yoko broke them up, BULLSHIT!! I have nothing but respect for her.

The death of Epstein was the best thing that ever happened to the Beatles, and the causality of the Beatles' end. His death allowed the Beatles to break out of a creatively-stifling situation that lasted for 4 years, break free of keeping the same image they had from the time they hit American shores, and allowed the four to be their own people (which became Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band), but in order to fill the gap left behind by Epstein's death, they relied heavily on lawyers... *k'boom!*

....Of course, the explosive collapse of the Beatles helped make it possible for the least likely of the four to succeed.....

And Yoko was the best thing to ever happen to John, and a much-needed jolt for him since Stu's death.
