Reminds me of one -fanciful- interpretation of a line from "Hotel California". "Warm smell of colitas rising up through the air". Wag said that there was a fireworks factory nearby, which exploded. One of the workers, a Wurn Snell from Colitas,Greece was seen hurled into the sky by the explosion. A certain "Slug Signorino" (pen-name of the artist for Cecil Adams' "Straight Dope") drew a pic of the interpretations.(Wurn Snell riding a rocket to his death.) Colitas was described as (1)A marijuana smoke,(2)Colitis,(3)part of a woman's anatomy, and a town in Greece. I go for the marijuana cig.
I think Hotel California is a state of mind, and one artist said that vampires and demon worshipers live there."You can check out any time, but you can never leave."

'You can check out anytime you'd like, but you can't ever leave"
Being a California resident for 27 years and finally selling off the last piece of property just this year. There's a big part of me who misses California, and then I remember that I can live comfortably elsewhere for considerably less - and let's not get into other reasons why I left.
