Their character is like a non-neutonian fluid (both liquid and solid), and very goopy; It apparently has the ability to absorb liquids it comes in contact with and take on some of their characteristics(?). Going off memory here.

I wonder how he gets out... does he have to fish for his body parts? they would mostly break up or dissolve... unless he's made of an oil type substance but then he would still be spread across the top of the coffee xD
