Character Sheet for Gen Pop
Character Description
Gen is the head of the Pop brand food company. He got to that position by caring about success more than people. Not that he's a particularly cold or malicious person but rather that he's sorta removed from social expectancy. He's oblivious to the world around him except for what he chooses to focus on. That means that his son Rock often gets forgotten. Gen is aware sometimes that social acts are needed but he is not equipped for dealing with social situations and knows he'll likely make a mess of it. If it gets too hard for him he might get frustrated and leave but he'll still regret it afterwards. He leaves all the typical fatherly stuff to his son's bodyguard Piza Pi. Gen had adopted Rock in hopes of them being an heir to Gen's company but might be blissfully or willfully unaware of the fact that he and his son are drifting apart. Gen is in Diegoltun on business with Jason Gobbuck to start a new branch in Olrit. It'll take months and Gen might not anticipate Rock getting attached to the place. His fizz bomb cannon is actually rather powerful with the right upgrades though his main power comes from his business connections. Telling him he's great will get you far even if he knows you're lying.
Personality
Gen is a businessman at heart. He likes being at the top and the privileges that come with it. He has little time for people in his busy life but butter him up and he might take a shine to you. He can be very pally and friendly to the people he likes and dismissive of others. However he doesn't have a strong ego per say. He's not interested in showing off, merely enjoying the spoils. If he's decided he wants to do something he will put all his effort into it and doesn't know when to quit. However things that don't interest him he has little to no time for. It's not that he doesn't care for people but rather he doesn't know what to do and can put his own needs first if distracted. He never intends to hurt anyone and sees people who take offense to his behavior as too touchy. He's not often aware that he needs to be social sometimes and doesn't have the right tools to deal with it. In this type of situation he might just quit but regret it afterwards.
Likes/Dislikes
likes being told he's great even if he knows it's a lie, when a plan goes successfully, making money, spending the money on things for himself and destroying the competition, dislikes people who steal from him, having his precious time interrupted by family matters, people who don't do their job right and people who try to blind him with words.
Background/History
Gen is the head of the Pop brand food company. His company makes many products that can be found right across Valhalor. Gen himself has never really had that much need for people and forgot about his family somewhere along his climb to the top. However he knew he would have so much money later that he could retire for a few decades and so set about getting an heir to take over his business. He adopted Rock when he was very young and has taught him well about business sense. However he's a clueless parent so often leaves all the fatherly stuff to Rock's bodyguard Piza Pi. Gen hopes to spend his life in wealth alongside his devoted child, though his lack of people skills might be making him rather ignorant or oblivious of the truth. Gen came to Diegoltun seeking to make a business deal with Jason Gobbuck opening up a branch in the Olrit area. He'll have to stay a while to see it through and in the coming months hopes Rock wont get too attached to his surroundings.
Relatives/Family
Gen adopted Rock at an early age and raised him as his son and heir. However Gen isn't the best father and to some degree palms of the fathering duties to Rock's bodyguard Piza Pi. Gen's parents live miles away. He's 'evolved' beyond needing them anymore and has lived on his own for years until he adopted Rock.
World/Setting
The Valhalor world is a mixture between real-world, fantasy and sci-fi settings with the second item being a more dominant factor. There are 8 islands in Valhalor, 5 of which are divided into multiple countries. Many years ago there was a war between the Dozers of Meka Island and the Yovans of South Island, which resulted in Valhalor being divided into 2 warring alliances. Monsterville is a country in South Island that is strongly fantasy themed, though Olrit county in particular is very much modern day. Monsterville is mostly forested and has a European look. It's home to a lot of unusual wildlife and often hazardous kinds. Diegoltun City is the main setting for the Monsterville game which this character is from. The city has a wide range of businesses from shops, craft works and restaurants to offices, entertainment and tourist attractions. There are also several smaller villages around Diegoltun and the city itself is sat next to a much larger city known as Olrit.
Body
black fur base with white fur on the hands, feet, muzzle, tail tip and breast. Grey-green inside the mouth and ears and grey-green eyes.
