Template & meme from fox-orian I saw a few artists doing these and thought it would be fun to do one of my very first influences when I got into this gig. Especially since I've felt burnt-out, I thought it best to get back to my roots, ya know? Spent a couple hours digging up sources for this. Had no idea what all would be on here when I started ^^; So, on with explainations:
.Nyandaful Power by Po~Ju. This comic was so cute and funny and sexy when I first laid my eyes on it! It pushes all my buttons ^//^ It has super heroes, super villans, and lots of butt-pounding mayhem! Latex cat...fly through the air....save us all from our yiffless fate!
."It's The Rough Sketches" by Po~Ju. I love to see the sketches of experienced artists and seeing Po~Ju's (which is a very rare thing) really lite a fire under me to draw draw draw! They're simply beautiful.
."Bunny Boys Collection" 1.5 & 2 by Po~Ju. Bunny Boys!!! Duh!! :D
.Louie from Quack Pack. One of my all time fave characters that seriously made me fall in love with ducks :) Those webbed feet....ahhh...that sly smile...
.Happy Hardcore music. This is like a super chug of caffeine sugary pop for your brain! I'd get so hype listening to this. Felt like super man.
.Buster from Tiny Toon Adventures. I've done just about everything imaginable with this bunny - in my mind lol! Don't look at me like that, you know you have too!
.Proton Radio - Sleek electronic beats. I listened to a it lot. It's relaxing sometimes and really interesting an energetic at others. Kept me groove'n along.
.Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. This game got me into the 80's bigtime. I re-discovered the decade I grew up in. I'm still quite smitten with it :P
.Asthexiacal's art. This man is simply amazing at the number of things he drew. I really loved the attitudes of the characters in his pictures, he usually depicted them as light-hearted and warm. One picture in particular got me on a number of levels...bet you can't guess which one!! :D Okay, here!
.Hyung Tae Kim. This Korean dude's art is jaw-droppingly good. His use of color and form. It's another one of those things that seriously lights a fire under me to draw some stuff.
.Disney's Gargoyles. Half naked lizard-like creatures flying through the night....mmmm..^^ Heh, okay *perv-mode off*. It's actually a really good series that deals with issues of belonging, trust, friendship, love, and loss. Pretty heavy stuff for a "cartoon" (according to some dumb-butt's standards) but it adds so much depth to the characters. They feel like old friends :)
.80's!!!!! Music, movies, games, toys, you name it. It's my fave decade without a doubt. So many great cartoons came out of it. So much great music (including italo disco). It was a mishmash of bulky electronics and analog, leftovers from the late 70's and 60's, synth pop, hair-metal, teddy ruxpin, and he-man!! For me, this decade had it all.
.Sonic and Tails. Big duh here :P No furry can resist the cute gravitational force of Tails the fox...you get sucked right into his...black hole! Hah! Okay...terrible joke..moving on...
.Zen. No, not the eastern meditation, the furry artist. His characters had a very fun and playful attitude that hooked me early on. You might say, it laid the foundation for the prototype of rabbits in my mind ^^
.Dj Shadow. He produced several tracks that pulled me into this midnight world of sorts. Haunting stuff like Building steam with a grain of salt and Midnight In A Perfect World. Great stuff to listen to when everyone's asleep and you feel like some art-making.
.Unico. Utterly cute and irresistable. Hey, I'm inspired by cute things damn it :D They show the bright side of life and that's always worth drawing.
.Pinky from Pinky and the Brain. Narf!!! Again, I love his happy-go-lucky personality and approach to life. Of course it's only shown best when in stark contrast to Brain's egotostical domineering self. It's a lot like Ralph and Ed from the Honeymooners.
.Disney! Mickey Mouse, Ducktales, Goof Troop, TaleSpin, Gummie Bears, the list goes on and on. I'm a total Disney fanatic and can never get enough of their characters. I know I have a few other Disney ones up there, but I decided to make this a catch-all for everything else :P
.Green Monkey. Another furry artist that does some really brilliant work with copic markers and corel painter. He has a very interesting take on his color schemes and his hand-inking is goregeous stuff. It seriously made me want to get into drawing and digital painting.
.M$'s Xbox. The first one! I dunno nuff'n bout no 360 whateva! This bulky box of joy was a modder's paradise ^.^ I started to make a 3d model for the dash way back when. Never did finish it, but it did get me interested to 3d modeling and customizing all sorts of things. It may not be directly related to furry, but it was a serious creative tinker toy for me ^^ And I do looove to tinker...yes yes yes!
.Groove Salad. Ambient down-beat type music. More stuff to listen to when I felt like relaxing, which I really needed back then XD
.Radio Paradise. I've never heard another internet radio station like this one. They played a little bit of everything. Rock, indie, tribal sounding stuff. All of it seemed to fit a particular mood or get me into a philosophical pondering kind of mood. Very enjoyable stuff.
.Bassdrive. I got hooked on D&B back in the day. Once they started introducing all sort of different styles it got a lot more interesting than mere 'jungle' or 'techno'. This stuff is good for cranking out some work to. Jogging, bike riding, or doing a ton of sketches...it's a lot like happy hardcore. Keeps you move'n!
Overall, these sources practically screamed at me "come out and play like us!!". Inspiration isn't feeling like somebody can 1up you, it's feeling like you can stand on the same ground and do your own thing with just as much passion and dedication as they have. ^__^ Red One - Kung Fu Fresh RAMM30
I am not surprised that Our Host was influenced by both ZEN and GreenMonkey. I've known them both since the old BlueFurry days. They're good people, and their art is very fun. ZEN's personal artistic evolution is a great clinic for any artist working to grow their own styles. And as for Quack Pak: I was staggered that they managed to make the Duck Triplets such damned sexy-badassed little shits. IT WORKED!

Asthexiacal's is the best for getting the best sketching/drawings technique ... yup he was able to draw so wonderfully without adding any colors at all ... his basic is really strong and is one of the best a furry artist should go for ... and I'm not surprise that his one of your ''personal'' pilar for your drawing skills ^^
