Some people just retain information differently. I just read through the material in class as we go over it and then skim once or twice in the days leading up to a test and rarely got below a high B and depending on the class I usually aced em. I can't tell you how I do it, it just happens. Kinda makes me wish I could afford to get to college. I have a feeling I would have a pretty decent time of it if I got a course I really wanted to learn. My teachers in high school hated me. Because, I would rarely ever do my homework, usually read books or played card games with friends or would listen to music, but would just blaze on through my tests. Got accused of cheating a few times but really I just knew how to do the tests or solve the answers. On the flip side, I had a friend who would spend every waking moment they had studying and doing study drills and still struggled with the work. *shrugs* the human brain is a mysterious place.

I wasn't a stoner, but I was the guy who didn't even buy the book for the class and aced the whole thing. I wish I would have spent more time helping out other students. I think it would have made college a lot more rewarding. FWIW, I'm sorry.

It's like a deja vu of law school. There is no direct correlation between study, thought, intelligence and grades. It's not like high school, or even under grad, where you parrot things back and you pass.

No sirrie! Chucky looked like he got it without the dinner and movie. Parippanny looked like her family was killed. Hope that they do better next time.
Looks like it is time to drown their sorrow away in booze!

I pretty much failed my last Math exams. All in all, I can't assign to be a hospital brother and I don't know which faculty will take me with my 79% of pre-university grade. For example, I've needed 81,6% at least to assign to medical faculty. -_- And I failed my latest math exam.
Thought, i can't lie, I didn't really study for the exam. The fact is - when I overstudy, I forget everything I've learned when the exam comes, so I just pass throught the things we've learned and get the exam done. So far I was getting over 80% untill now.

This usually happened to me in the big lecture classes I took simply for graduation requirements. Hated the topic, never touched the textbook (or in some cases I never even purchased/rented it), only studying what was said in lectures.
Apparently I was in good company, there were some SERIOUS grading curves so I'd pass with a score that'd normally be a failing score.
In my major (music), however, I knew it was my own damn fault if I got a harsh grade, and many of my teachers were pretty tough graders. My grades definitely got better because I'd have mostly the same teachers for later classes. Incentive to work harder. :P

Poor Chucky. Poor Parsi, especially. At least they've got the second midterm and the final to (hopefully) make up for their not-so-great showing. ( https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=332605 for those who've forgotten.)

tbh... I BS so much of the stuff at school and I actually do fine in labs xD Don't ask me the name of the tools but I know how to get the job done... I should probably study more even if I forget all the stuff lol

pretty much xD most of the problems they give you in theory never applies in practice and doesn't serve any purpose through-out any aviation courses... Especially in conception of plane parts. The bullshit they try to make me learn like all the names of the different shapes in french when the words should all be taught in english since its easier is just annoying as hell plus in french half of them are names that have very little connection with what we use everyday and you can't really use logic to understand what the part's name refers to unless you actually studied it. I feel bad for those who learn these things since in the end everyone get around the same grades.
