Part 1 of 3 of a commission for flafty in which I was tasked to redesign the armor of each character to fit their personality and fighting style.
Claude's fighting style specializes in close quarter combat (CQC) due to his massive strength and enhanced healing factor, since he has no special mobility power his tactics boil down to full frontal attack. This armor is mainly designed to protect vital area while leaving extremities exposed to not hinder movement. This is a no nonsense design, very much like Claude's character. This design has no ambiguity to it, meant to take damage and to deliver it. It features heavy armor plating and specialized armored "Cestus" gloves to deliver heavy close range damage to opponents to enhance the already damaging punches Claude's fists deliver.
