Meal 29

"Such a tearful farewell, my love," said Salazar shivering.  "An ending such as this, even sends a chill down my spine."

"I'm afraid you are mistaken on two accounts," replied Wolfcub from within the light, a gentle chuckle on her voice.  "What I was doing was not an attack but another summoning and that chill you are feeling is not from my death, but from what I summoned."

"You used a summon to do a second summoning?" asked Salazar his body shaking more as he felt colder despite his intense heat and the flames all around him.  "I have never heard of such a thing."

"Well, this is not your typical summoning," she explained as the light started to fade smaller.  "More of a purchase.  I had no choice but to use my Dew Points to buy something from the Dew Store, but I was a few cans short.  But I just earned enough and in that burst of light I have received a weapon to counteract your fire and flames."

"And what kind of weapon can do that?" questioned Salazar, his breath visible as he spoke.

"You are already seeing the effects," she told him as the light fully faded and she stood wielding a katana with an icy blue hilt and a blade that looked as clear as crystal.  All the sweat on her body had turned into ice crystals and a layer of frost covered her arm.  The ground around her feet had become icy and as she walked forward the ice trailed behind her.  "You think I'm beautiful and I can't argue with that.  So it only makes sense that I wield a weapon that is as beautiful as I am.  I'd say this blade is quite suitable, Diamond Dust."  Lifting her arm and swinging the sword, a gale of arctic winds roared out expelling the flames in its path and chilling the area.  "I didn't know how it would compare to your fire, but looks like I am stronger than you are now."

"Just when I think you can not be any lovelier you blow away my expectations, chica," he swooned and his fiery passion erupted.  "Two opposites that are fated to never come in contact, but wish to defy nature to be together.  I can think of nothing more romantic than that."

"Enough with the romantic crap," she spat.  "You are my enemy and that is all there is to it.  I've wasted enough time already dealing with you and I have more important things to do and it seems the only way I can do that is to put your passionate flame out."  Wielding her katana in both hands she swung it hard at Salazar.  Ice burst out freezing the air and ground in front of her including encasing Salazar in a thick layer of ice.  "Did that do it?"  She waited for an answer and a sudden increase in the temperature was all the answer she needed.  "It's getting even hotter than before."  She looked around and saw ice around Salazar was melting and so was the ground.  When they ice weakened enough, Salazar burst out, his romantic demeanor unchanged.

"Indeed, a finale must come," he agreed and reached an arm down his throat.  Wolfcub watched as he retrieved a sword of his own, a broadsword, Salamander.  "This is the very source of my power and my life.  Removed from my body I can utilize its full power, but like all Food of the Gods my life relies on this ingredient.  Without it, my life will end soon, but before that, we shall both die together Salazar and Wolfcub, Romeo and Juliet."

The ground around them was split, half frozen and half melted.  The air blurred at the intersection of hot and cold and steam and fog only decreased the visibility further.  "Sorry Romeo," she stated.  "But you'll be dying on your own this time."  Getting into their stances, they charged one another.

Time returned around the old lady and the men.  "What in the world?" the man who had nearly killed her shouted as he swung the air where she had been prior the freeze in time.  "How did you suddenly get over there?"  The only lady didn't respond.  "Stay silent if you choose.  This only further proves your guilt."

"Obamon," she spoke.

"What was that?" he asked.  "Speak up!"

"You barge into my home and sentence me to death yet you do not even know how to address me.  Well, my name is Obamon!"  Holding the book out in front of her, she opened it and the pages began moving on their own going faster and faster as a strong wind swirled around the room.  The wind flowed into the book's pages.  The men struggled against the wind as it reached hurricane levels and still continued to get stronger.  By the time they attempted to flee from Obamon and her book it was too late.  One after another they were sucked into the book and vanished within the pages, the last trace of them their terrified screams.

Obamon sighed with relief, "They are gone and I'm safe.  I didn't want to have to do it, but they left me no choice."  With the danger to her life gone she attempted to close the book, but found she was unable to and the book only continued to pull with even greater force.  "What is going on?  Why can't I stop this?"  Unlike the men, Obamon was not affected by the book and neither was her home, but then her front door burst open and the unimaginable happened.

"Yuck that fruit tastes nasty," spat Tagmer as he picked the peels out of his teeth.

"Magical fruit usually do taste bad," replied Kill.  "Though, oddly enough a poison apple is quite a delicacy if not for the whole living death result from eating it."

"So what's this thing supposed to do?" asked Tagmer just before his could feel a burning feverish sensation flow through his body.  "Ugh, nevermind.  It's already starting.  I was half expecting a transformation, but the process is not always a pleasant and comfortable one."

"It wouldn't make sense if it wasn't," replied Killajor.  "If you aren't normally capable of transforming the process is so radical it could kill a weak body or at least leave them debilitated.  But you are very strong, the pain you are feeling will not amount to much."

"Nowhere near as painful as you attempting to blow a hole through my head," groaned Tagmer as he could feel and hear his bones become like taffy being stretched and pushed together.  As this was happening he could feel the scales on his body vanish while peachy skin replaced it.  Then velvet red fur began to spread over his body on his sides, back, legs, and arms. A mane of thick hair covered over his neck and grew thicker as his body continued to change.  His draconian ears receded into his head and then sprouted anew pointed upright and furry.

"Must be starting to feel good by now," commented Kill as he saw a grin on Tagmer's face.  "By now your organs have finished changing and arranging themselves to function properly in your body.  You didn't vomit up any blood either and I don't see and signs of broken veins.  That's a good sign that the strain of the transformation didn't speed up the flow of blood in your body too much as your veins were realigning with your body.  A bit of a shame.  I was hoping to be entertained as you writhed in agony."

"I thought this was my birthday present," retorted Tagmer.

"Don't you know the best gifts are the ones you can share with others," pointed out Kill.

"Will you to hurry up," groaned Nocturne.

"You know the rules or battle," replied Kill.  "Battles are put on hold while transformations are taking place."

"And why can't the two of us fight while he is changing?" he asked.

"Because I'm explaining what is going on to Tagmer to the viewers so they can understand the internal changes along with the external.  And before you say anything, yes I have the power to break the fourth wall when it is necessary.  Now where was I?"

"Something about my blood and vomiting said blood," answered Tagmer as he felt his arms burn hotter as large muscles appeared on them.  He could feel it in his legs as well, but the thick layer of fat in them made it less apparent.

"Oh, yeah," continued Kill.  "Blood flowing properly, no vomiting and now the chemical composition of your blood should have changed to what you need to properly transfer oxygen to your body.  Your brain is also making your organs get to work and making sure your body is producing all your vital fluids.  This'll normally cause an overproduction in those fluids for a few hours while your body tries to get in order.  Judging from the expression on your face I'd say you are already feeling a rather wonderful high."

"Hell yeah," murred Tag, his saliva glands causing his mouth to overflow with spit, but Tagmer paid it no mind as his main got wet.  He was too preoccupied groping and rubbing his stomach as it swelled larger and doughier, growing like bread full of yeast.  "I can't tell what is real and what I'm just hallucinating.  Do I have fur now?  How about these big butterfly wings?  This massive belly, please tell me it's real.  And where can I get a suit that will fit me comfortable in my new shape?"

"Uh, yes.  No.  Of course.  Worry about that later when all this mess is behind us," answered Kill.

"Uh, ok," chuckled Tagmer standing as his fully developed hands and marveling at how strong and thick his hands felt.  He ran his fingers through his blue hair that no long reached down to his neck and formed sideburns.  He also poked his horns, thicker and more curved.  "I don't feel much else changing so I guess I'm done.  Just feels like I got an itch on my back."

"Let me get that for you," offered Kill as he placed a hand on Tagmer's body at his second stomach.  Unlike the front of Tagmer's body that had gone through changes, the taur section had remained unchanged, in fact it had not moved at all after some time into the transformation.  With barely any might at all, Kill send a shockwave into Tag's body and from the spot Kill's hand was to outward, the taur section of Tag's body crumbled away revealing it was merely a thin layer of scales and hollow on the inside.  As it all vanished Tagmer had a new furry rear in its place accompanied with a long fluffy tail.  Wiggling his rear and swishing his tail side to side, Tagmer brushed away the dead parts of his old form.

"That's much better," stated Tagmer as he stretched and reached to scratch at his back quickly noticing the shell on his back.  Craning his neck around he was just barely able to see it.  It was white on the end and the same shade of blue as his hair over the majority of the shell and several white spikes on it as well.  "Much better indeed."

"Looks like you are fully transformed now," commented Kill.  "What do you think?"

Placing a hand on his face and rubbing his plump cheeks, Tagmer closed his eyes and grinned.  "What do I think?  Hmm..."  Opening his eyes, and raising his arms in the air with excitement he gave his answer.  "How about hells yeah!"  His voice echoed through the remains of the world.  When it became silent again, Tagmer scratched his head.  "Uh, so what am I?"

"I gave you a bit of a mix of creatures," Kill explained.  Part Koopa and part Lagaros.  I think the accurate word for it is Koopgaros.  Still no telling if it'll be a better fit than your old body, but it essentially a one-way deal.  I doubt even you would be able to manage to change back or into anything else for quite some time now, not that I would allow you to.  After all, I'm done being a gift giver.  Though I must admit, you were that body quite well."

"I know," agreed Tagmer.  "The rush I feel now is almost too much ecstasy to stand.  Like a kid who just binged on so much sugar they are ready to vomit, but still they just devour more and more and even now, I'm still craving more."

"Oh, yeah," said Kill handing Tagmer a few black armbands with silvery spikes on them and a matching one to go on his neck.  "You are a fighter so you should at least wear the garb of a high-class Koopa fighter."  Handing them to Tagmer, he tried them on.  They stretched and fit his body perfectly and increased Tagmer's unrestrained moans of delight.

"Oh, Kill," Tagmer began to say unable to deny the gratitude he was feeling, but couldn't find the words either.  Instead, he gave a gently punch at Kill's arm that sent him right into the wall of a cliff creating a hole in the shape of his body.  "Damn I'm strong!"

"That's gratitude for you," grumbled Kill.

"I thought we agreed never to discuss this thing ever again," snickered Tag.

"And so the regret begins," sighed Kill.

"Are you two ready yet?" groaned Nocturne.  "I'm so bored that you're about put me to sleep."

"Oh, we're all set now," replied Tagmer.

"Finally," stated Nocturne.  "Then let the battle resume!"

Her door burst open and before her eyes she watched as the trees of the forest got torn from the ground and pulled into the book.  So were the animals, plants, and even the grounds made its way through her front door and into it, but that was just the beginning as the suction of the book grew ever stronger like it was a black hole.  Obamon, unable to shut the book, dropped it and backed away, terrified of its power and helpless to stop it as the nearby town was suddenly pulled into it piece by piece and person after person.

This continued for a time as the world beyond Obamon's cottage was drawn into the book.  It was soon happening so fast that Obamon could barely get more than a glimpse at what was being pulled in.  Finally, the amount of stuff was finally thinning out and as the last few things were pulled inside everything went quiet and the last sound was the book slamming shut.

Carefully, Obamon approached the book again and opened it to see what now was on the pages, but as before, all the pages were blank.  The only thing written in it was her name.  Picking the book up and placing it on the table, she then walked to her front door to see what had become of the outside.  Beyond her cottage door, there was nothing there.

Taking another of the remaining few piece of paper, Obamon burned it and watched the flame climb up it until it became nothing more than ashes falling to the floor. "Hard to believe just a few more pages are remaining in this book and then my world will no longer exist.  It has been so long since I last viewed it that I might very well miss it when it no longer exists," she said.  Returning the remaining pages to her apron pocket she her chin with a finger.  "I just wonder how the battle will end.  I had thought for certain my forces would have won no problem, but it seems they were more powerful than I anticipated.  Also, there were a few anomalies I did not foresee.  First, there was Kill not only betraying me, but siding with the others.  That was unlikely, but I suppose it was still possible when left no other choice. What worries me are the names of those I do not recognize that have appeared in the story.  I did not send them into the world like the others, yet they all seem to know one another.  Well, in the end, it doesn't matter.  Win or lose, once I burn the last page they will all be gone for good.  Now on to more important matters.  I have to see how my not so little ones are doing."  Walking outside, she returned to Krystal and admired the sight of two huge blobs on her utters one red and the other yellow.  Each was sucking on one of her utters, gulping down the creamy, extremely fattening.  They were at least as large as Obamon was, if not bigger and still growing outwards in all directions as they fattened practically instantly from Krystal's milk.  "Oh, my dearies are fattening so fast it is almost frightening."

Seeing Obamon, Krystal gently lifted her massive arms and rubbed the two blobs getting their attention and turning it to Obamon.  "Obamama!" cheered Renamon; though her words were so muffled by her obesity it was impossible to make sense of it.  Guilmon was even worse, condition to speak.  Saliva poured out of his maw like his taste buds were constantly anticipating the next delicious thing to be shoved in it.

"How are my babies doing?" Obamon asked as they rolled over to her and hugged her.  She hugged back, the sensation of how fat and delicious they felt almost making her ravenous side explode out to devour them.  "Oh, my so well-fed and so soft, I could eat you both up.  How have you two been?"  Obamon did what she could to help her speak clearer, but each inch of her that she touched was so incredibly plumped.  "Feels like I'm playing with my food," she thought to herself.

"We were getting hungry waiting for food," Renamon explained.  "Auntie Krystal offered to feed us some of her milky and it was super yummy like the milky we had earlier."

"That makes sense since it was Aunty Krystal's milk you had before, but I suspect that it has been improving since the batch you had."

"What do you mean?" asked Renamon.

"It has made you both big and strong," giggled Obamon.  "Even bigger than your Obamama and I suspect you will grow ever larger still."

"Big!  Big!" chanted Guilmon happily, his words accompanied by his roaring hungry stomach.  It sounds like a Growlmon after stubbing its toe and roaring violently.

"How big will we get?" asked Renamon, her own hunger showing just as furiously.

"Bigger than big," answered Obamon as simple as possible.  "Think as big as you can and then even bigger than that and then even bigger than that and so on and so on."

"Wow that's big," giggled Renamon.

"Well, you'll only get that big if you keep on eating," Obamon told them.  "Now, I hope you are not too full after all the milk you drank."

"Actually," replied Renamon.  "I feel so hungry like this is I have never eaten before.  Like this might very well be our first meal."

"Or your last," thought Obamon giving them a kiss on their cheeks.  She then spoke to them.  "Roll on inside and I'll get you both your food and trust me when I saw this will be a meal to remember for the rest of your lives."

Their eyes lit up with excitement and drool gushed out their mouths in excitement.  They rolled their blobby bodies into the cottage, getting stuck at the door as they reached it at the same time and tried to be the first one in.  After a struggle, Guilmon proved he wanted it more and kicked and squirmed his way in, but Renamon, refusing to be beaten shoved his fat rear through the door and came down on top of Guilmon.  They tumbled about shaking the ground from their hijinks and Obamon merely chuckled amused before following after them.

"Miss Obamon," called Krystal speaking her first words in ages.

"So you have regained your complete senses," Obamon said stopping and turning back to her.  "I saw you were coming back, but that you can speak is surprising.  I suppose you recall everything then?"

"Yes," she answered.  "I remember everything.  What you are, what you have done to everyone, and what you have done to me."

"Quite a surprise," she admitted.  "Never had anyone come to their senses on their own before."

"I didn't do it on my own," she admitted.  "It was thanks to Zane that I recovered.  It was slow, but since I saw him I had started to come back."

"Still much too late to do anything as you are now," pointed out Obamon.

"I know," agreed Krystal.  "You have pumped more than enough milk from me and made it so fattening that nothing could compare to it.  Also, my intuition tells me you are just about ready with those two.  You plan to eat them soon."

"Soon enough," stated Obamon.  "They will be the finest meal I have ever had and they will make me invincible."

"Then you have no reason to refuse my proposal," she continued.

"A proposal?" asked Obamon.  "I'm intrigued you would come to me with something like this.  What is it?"

"I want you to eat me," she said.

Hearing those words made Obamon laugh loud and long.  Her voice echoed through the forest.  In the cabin, Guilmon and Renamon were too noisily focused on eating to even notice.  "Eat you?  This is a first.  Nobody has ever requested me to do that to them before."

"That is not all," added Krystal.  "I want to be put with the others.  My intuition is telling me there is very little time left and before that time is up I want to be with Zane."

"It will take time before I can send you there and on top of that you will go as an enemy to him," explained Obamon.  "Is that how you want the last bit of time the two of you to have?  On opposite sides and fighting as enemies?  It will entertain me to no end, but for him and you it will be the greatest pain I could imagine for two lovers.  Are you willing to go through such a hell in the last bit of time you will have even if in the end one of you was going to kill the other?"

"I am well aware what will happen, but if that is the case, then so be it."

"Well, I was planning on having you eaten," stated Obamon.  "I planned to use you up, every last bit of you, but I didn't think to do that to you afterwards.  If that is what you want then I will glad to honor your final request."

"Thank you, Obamon," Krystal said as she watched Obamon turn into her monstrous form.  Closing her eyes, she experiences as her enormous body was devoured fast with her lower mouth.  She didn't feel Obamon bite down on her, more like she was being pulled into the beast's body.  In no time at all, Obamon filled her stomach with Krystal and shut her lower maw.  The heaviness that Krystal had been feeling for so long was fading.  Her body was soon weightless and then gone before she slowly fell asleep.

"I should be the one thanking you," Obamon chuckled.  "I will do as you said, but I'm sure you will be kind enough to provide once more for my big, fat, dearies.  I'm sure they love being as large as their Obamama, but wait till they're even bigger than Auntie Krystal."

Nothing was around Obamon's cottage.  There was nothing for her to do and nowhere to go. All she had now was time to waste waiting around doing nothing.  It was a maddening isolation that made it impossible to tell if minutes had gone by or years.  Still full of despair, the old lady only found the strength to dress herself in an apron then sit down and wait for something to happen.

"I'm all alone," was the first thought that crossed her mind.

"You are not," a voice answered her.

Turning to see who had spoke she stared in shock as another Obamon was standing before her, though this one had a villainous expression on her face.  "Who are you?" she asked.

"You of course," she answered.  "The you that was born from the darkness that was in your heart."

"But you are over there and I am here?" she pointed out.  "What is going on?"

"Madness at it's finest," she chuckled.  "Torn between love and hate and then trapped in nothingness is the perfect condition to fill one with madness."

"Why did this all have to happen?" sobbed Obamon.  "I never meant to cause harm to anyone, just to love and be loved."

"An answer I would expect from my light side.  Whereas I can only think, how disgusting that world was.  How those men treated me like a monster and how I want them to die.  How I want all those I wasted my time helping to die as well.  No.  Not just die, but for me to devour them just like I had that one boy.  You recall what that first child tasted like after he was fattened up.  And he loved us so much too.  I'm sure you can still feel him inside you, his love for you filling that empty space in your heart."

"No!" Obamon cried.  "I never want to do that again!"

"We will do it again.  As much as we can and every chance we get.  So much space to fill with so much love.  Once we find a new world we can start over and both be satisfied."

"Such a terrible thing," Obamon sobbed.  "Only a monster would consider such a thing."

"Do not forget we are monsters!"

The dark Obamon started to change, growing larger, and her teeth growing sharp and brown scales covering her body.  The light Obamon could feel her body changing too.  Looking at her hands she saw scales appearing on them and spreading.  A tail emerged from her tailbone and her size increased all over.   Her body changed as her bones reshaped getting larger and stronger.  The transformation finally ended as quickly as it began and she was a draconic creature.  Looking at her face in a mirror she was startled, but could still see the kindness in her eyes along with the sorrow of her tears.

"This new body is much stronger than what we had before," the dark one laughed.  "Perfect for what we shall soon be doing."

"No!" shouted Obamon staring at her dark side.  Her form was similar to her light form, but it was even larger and where she was very plump, this one was bulging muscles.  "I will not do this!"

"You say that, but if you had not noticed, it is I who am in control now.  You are nothing more than a figment of my consciousness, a mere illusion compared to me the dominant one.  We may exist together, but I have no need of your light."  As those words were uttered the light Obamon faded away into nothing leaving the monstrous dark Obamon alone.  Then the dark one changed, taking on the gentler version of her light counterpart.  "But your form will be incredibly useful.  This body of yours will be the perfect disguise to lure in all the prey I desire."  Light appeared in the windows of the cottage and Obamon grinned in delight.  "Looks like the wait is finally over.  I have finally arrived in a new world."

Fire and ice clashed as Wolfcub and Salazar slashed their blades and metal hit metal over and over.  Ice and flames burst out as they continued to fight and in between steam filled the air.

"Hot one moment then cold the next," panted Wolfcub.  "I heard it isn't good to expose your body to sudden temperature changes and this is an extreme case."

"Our fight is like a dance of death," sang Salazar.  "They way our bodies more, the way our attacks connect and roar with the power of our hearts."

"I am getting so tired of your love speak," grumbled Wolfcub before noticing the cracks starting to appear on Salazar's body.  "What is happening to you?  Your body is cracking."

"I told you, my time is limited now," he explained.  "Removing my key ingredient has made my life forfeit.  As time passes my body will grow more unstable and then explode.  In that time, the power of my flames will be too much for even your Diamond Dust to protect you.  In eternal flames we shall die.  Will it not be the most beautiful thing ever?"

"It sounds like a rather gruesome end to me," argued Wolfcub.  "If you love me so much then why are you going kill me?  That is all you have been trying to do from the start."

"It is my orders from the one who created me, Obamon," he told her.  "I must kill her enemies by any means no matter how much I detest it."

"Don't try to act the victim," stated Wolfcub.  "You are just her puppet.  All this is just an act to try and make me lower my guard.  So don't go on about love when you don't have a heart to begin with."

Rushing him again and striking fast, he guarded against her attack causing the cracks to grow and spread on his body.  As that happened the temperature rose further and the flames melted more of the ground that ice had been occupying.  Salazar then struck back, his heat adding pressure on Wolfcub as she backed away to where it was cooler.

"You power is already becoming consumed by my power," he told her.  "These flames are like Obamon herself growing by consuming those around her and there is no way to escape.  In the end, being the devoured is the only possible outcome.  You must be able to see this now.  There is no point in going on.  Just surrender now."

"I won't admit defeat while I can still fight," she shouted.  "Everyone is waiting for me.  They are my friends who truly love me.  Not like you and your false infatuation.  Now denounce those false feelings you have for me.  If there is no way I can win then you have no more reason to lie."

"You are right," Salazar admitted after a long pause.  "I am not real, just a pawn created by Obamon.  I cannot love.  It was not even one of my ingredients."  As he spoke these words a chunk of his chest broke off intensifying the heat to devastating levels.  The ground quickly melted into boiling lava and the remaining ice melted and evaporated instantly.  The moisture in Wolfcub's body gushed out as her flesh began to burn.

"Hotter than Hell," she thought.  "I'll be dead in seconds if I don't stop this now.  One last attack is all I can do."  Swinging her sword with all her might, she created a frigid breeze in front of her.  She rushed into it as Salazar's flames eradicated it, but it was there long enough for her to get within striking range of Salazar.  She stabbed at him, aiming at his chest, but before she could pierce his body, he guarded with his sword once more.  "He blocked me.  I'm going to be roasted alive and killed by his flames."

"Congratulations, you have won," said Salazar as the surrounding flames vanished and the area cooled to normal temperatures.  "I knew you could do it."

"What?" asked Wolfcub confused.  "But I missed you."

"No, you would have missed, but I made sure you didn't," he explained.  "Take a look."  He pointed at his sword, Salamander and while it seemed fine at first, the blade began to crack from the point where Wolfcub had hit it and the cracks reached to the edges of the blade and broke it in two.  The blade on Diamond Dust also began to crack, but the cracks did not spread far enough to break off the metal.  "When the intense heat came in contact with the sudden powerful cold, the metal became brittle enough to break.  Sorry, it damaged your sword in the process, but at least your life is not bound to it like mine is."

"You did mention that earlier," said Wolfcub.  "But why would you allow yourself to die?  You said it yourself that you are forced to serve Obamon."

"Yes, but seeing you for some reason I wanted to defy that part of me," he admitted.  "I cannot explain why.  I am not capable of love, yet it pained me terribly to watch you suffer.  Yet now, that my life will soon end and you shall live I feel so greatly relieved."

"Maybe you did have true feelings after all," sobbed Wolfcub.  "Perhaps I was too hasty in assuming it was all an act."

"Please do not grieve for me," he told her.  "You must take the secrets I have told you about the Food of the Gods and share it with the others.  If they do not know the true way to kill them then they will not truly be destroyed and I fear the others will not be as kind as I am."

"Thank you for everything," she replied watched as his body began to crumble away to dust.  "Though it might be last to say this now, I want you to hear this as a last comfort.  I love you."

He smiles, as the rest of his body vanished into dust.  "Thank you, chica.  Thank you."

Wiping her eyes dry and ignoring the burns still covering her body, Wolfcub started back towards Jokull.  "My body is in pain, but I have to make it back to help him and tell everyone what I have learned.  This discovery could change everything.  We might be able to make it out alive yet."

A zipping sound ripped through the air and suddenly Wolfcub felt a powerful impact on her chest knocking her off her feet and onto the ground.  "What was that?" she asked as she looked up and scanned the area in front of her, but there was no sign of anyone anywhere.  A pain then appeared on her chest as well as something wet.  Placing her hand on the spot she discovered her blood was soaking into her fur.  Her vision became blurry as did her mind.  "I was shot?  But who?  Nobody is there."

Everything went dark.

"Calculating results.  Bullet was off by 0.25 cm.  Failed to calculate proper wind resistance adjustments.  Damage calculations seem critical.  Target MD Ottsel in terminal condition.  Options available.  Allow target to bleed out or perform finishing blow.  Choosing later."

He was a short, light blue furred cat.  He wore a pair of black shades over his eyes and a matching leather jacket and leather diaper.  On the back of the jacket was a patch that read "Bad Kitty" and had belly in between the words.  His hair was wildly spiky and his whiskers neat and slightly curved.  At his side was a sniper rifle, though by its bright colors and design like building blocks it appeared like a child's toy.  He loaded another bullet into the gun and then placed the sniper rifle on his shoulder as he got into firing stance and looked through the scope.  He could clearly see Wolfcub a great distance away, on the ground, not moving.  Slowly he began to squeeze the trigger."

"Yure, is that you?" asked Drag as he and Glenn waddled over to him.  Hearing Drag's voice, Yure stopped looking through the scope and stared at the two of them.  "I was worried about you since we got separated.  I was worried you might have gotten hurt or worse, not that you can't take care of yourself, but after all the crazy things that have happened so far I can only assume whatever happens next is probably mind blowing."

"Indeed," he agreed as he placed the barrel of the gun on Drag's nose and aimed it at his forehead.  "But I do am not Yure."

"What are you talking about?" questioned Drag confused.  Glenn could only stare in horror.  "What are you doing?"
