Character Description
Nahara is probably the most beloved member of the Abunese royal court. She's Kaliendra's personal servant and follows her wherever she goes. Born in the village of Nemu, in the Faza province, she is one of the few survivors of the massacre of her village, that was destroyed by the Zonizans during the second Abunese-Zonizan war, and after living for some months as a beggar in the streets of Nebri, capital of the Faza province, she was put in an orphanage.
When the 17 years old Queen Kaliendra, who was recently elected, visited the Nebri orphanage and looked at her, who was 9 at the time, was immediately touched by her story, and decided to bring the child to the court with her. So, Nahara was raised in Kaliendra's court and became her most loyal and faithful servant, and due to her young age, she became one of the most beloved people in the royal palace.
Now, Nahara is 15, and she's one of the servants who are very close to the Queen, together with Ravin, one of the Royal Scribals. She's secretly in love with Ravin, the Royal Scribal, but she doesn't have the courage to tell him her feelings, because she thinks he'd refuse her because she's an "illiterate servant".
Personality
Nahara has a playful and cheerful personality: she's always smiling and in good mood, except when she remembers about her past. Being from a poor family, she never went to the House of Life (the Abunese school, run by priests), so she doesn't know how to read nor write. She's a shy girl and gets embarassed easily. When she's embarassed, she blushes and begins to stutter during talking. Despite being illiterate, she is well behaved and polite. Most of the people find her cute and are nice towards her.
Likes/Dislikes
Likes: Nahara is a quite talented flute player, and she often plays it when Kaliendra dances in front of the court. She's also a good singer, and knows a lot of traditional Fazan songs, although she never sings them in public, due to her shyness. Nahara enjoys playing Saron and challenges the other servants, and she wins often. She likes drinking Ineran (a tea made from two herbs, the Dynit and the Torak, that come from Zoniza) and staying in company. Nahara likes to dance too, during banquets, when she isn't playing the flutes, she sometimes dances for the guests.
Dislikes: Nahara doesn't like to be alone, because it remembers her when she used to be a beggar in the streets of Nebri. She panics when she sees a Zonizan and if she must do a chore during the night, she never goes out of the palace without a dagger. She deeply dislikes when she's called "Nahaaru", a portmanteau of "Nahara" and "Haaru" which means "Sweet Nahara", because her parents called her in that way.

Clothing
Usually, Nahara wears a humble linen outfit made by a crossed sheet that covers her breasts, a short skirt and linen underpants. Due to her poor origins, Nahara isn't used to footwear, so she's perpetually barefoot. When she goes out, she wears a white semi-transparent veil that covers part of her shoulders and goes down to her ankles.

Nahara wears four gold earrings at each ear, an heavy necklace and four gold bangle bracelets on her wrists and biceps. A tiny solid gold ring is worn on the tip of her tail, and she wears two gold anklets. Sometimes, she decorates her feet with rings and golden chains, usually when she dances. She wears a red jewel on her forehead, a traditional accessory among the Fazan girls.
