Character Sheet for Farada Rynus of the Ahkis clan (neè Ib'Rah)
Character Description
Farada Rynus of the Ahkis clan (born as Farada Rynus of the Ib'Rah clan), is Queen Kaliendra's mother and currently the Archmagister of the Wapi Warriors Guild. Unlike her husband, prince Zu Ahkis II, Farada isn't a noble. She was born the outskirts of Sesal, Janeka province, in a poor family of fishermen, and when she was 14, she was abandoned in a orphanage by her parents, since they weren't able to raise her, as they already had 12 children. During her childhood in the orphanage, Farada was constantly mocked due to her shy attitude: she was silent most of the time and rarely spoke. Due to this, she repressed her anger and at 15 years old, she stabbed one of the girls who bullied her with a wooden shard, and spent one month in the local jail. After she left the jail, Farada went back to the orphanage and began to train in melee combat as a self-learner, and when she reached legal age at 19, she joined the Wapi warriors guild. During her years in the guild, she improved her combat skills and quickly became one of the best warriors of the guild, and due to her strenght and dexterity, she was called "the iron girl".
At the age of 23, Farada was hired as a mercenary by the Janekan governor, Xibri Rede of the Varanda clan, in his private army, letting her have her private apartment in the governor's palace. She followed every movement of the governor, and was injuried by an arrow after a failed assassination attempt. One year later, Prince Zu Ahkis was invited by the governor to his court, and some months later, she fell in love with him. Farada married Zu when she was 25, and one year later, Ther'Os, their first child, was born, and three years later, they moved to Enit, and she gave birth to Kaliendra.
Farada wanted to make Kaliendra a strong and fierce warrior, so she taught her the combat tactics and the code of honour of the Wapi warriors, and made her join the annual Serka Tournament, where the Wapi warriors from Abun and other provinces fight eachother with wooden melee weapons of various kinds (swords, spears, daggers), in order to show their techniques and to prove who's the best warrior. Kaliendra won one of the tournaments, and became a honourary member of the guild, and later, Farada herself was elected Archmagister. making her one of the most powerful and influential women in Abun. After her husband's death and Kaliendra's election at the Abunese throne, she left the family manor in the outskirts of Enit (currently used by Kaliendra's court as a second residence) and moved to the Wapi guild headquarters in the city, where she leads the guild and teaches the young warriors how to fight.
After she was put in the orphanage, she never met her biological parents and never searched for them. She holds a grief against them, since they abandoned her when she was just a child.
Personality
Due to the rigid education of the Wapi warriors, Farada has a frugal and stoic personality. She usually speaks with a soft voice and rarely smiles or laughs, since the Wapi warriors need to control their feelings in every situation, in order to keep them focused on their tasks. When she doesn't train, she usually meditates in the gardens of the guild headquarters or drinks a cup of Chanalan, a traditional Abunese liquor made by the sap of palm trees. Despite her attitude, she cares a lot for her family and team members, and she immediately helps them if they are in trouble.
However, Farada's "soft side" gets exposed when she thinks about her husband, prince Zu, who died when Kaliendra was 16. She misses him a lot, and after his death, she tattooed the "mourning mark" on her forehead.
