This is a composite of two early test renders from my planned animation showing internal stuff. I was experimenting with various ideas: so these may well look drastically different by the time I make the final piece. In these renders you are looking up at the esophageal sphincter from inside the crop, in one it's shut, the other it's open. The open one shows the fact that at this point, the model was incomplete.
There isn't a whole lot apparently being tested here, but I am testing; fluid simulation, shape key animation and a workaround for the fluid simulator. The workaround lets me animate fluid with a shape-key driven mesh, and still have slippery fluids. (Plus speeds stuff up significantly too.)
The green tube was me experimenting with an idea for lighting and how the light source might render. Not really satisfied with how it came to appear to be honest. It lacks details to put it in the scene and looks like a big glowing slug.
I was also playing with and exploring textures too. ^..^
